Could get Dani Olmo for free potentially. Seems Barca are in a right mess only registered him to today and lost 2 appeals already to register him for the rest of the season.
Makes you wonder how Real manage to get away with the same rules every year. I mean looking at their squad and how much some of those must be earning, must be comparable to Barca.

But I think we all know the answer is that it's Real Madrid and neither la Liga or Uefa would do anything to upset them.

They’re part of the establishment. As are the bigwigs who run La Liga…..everything is weighted on their favour. Barca are a basket case of a club these days. Imagine buying a player that you cannot register or play. <yikes>

Helps that both can sell their own tv rights but I assume Madrid make significantly more - especially with recent CL success.

barcas have always been a tier below Madrid really. It was only a period of 10 years when they had their united 92 moment and brought through Xavi iniesta busquets messi Pedro valdes through at the same time which allowed them to compete and out do Madrid. After they moved on and retired Barca were back to being below Madrid but were forced to compete and do so by spending money to compete - probably also not helped by losing Neymar and feeling they now need to overpay to stop psg poaching their players going forward.

they’re now feeling effects of trying to overspend to keep up with Madrid l.

fairly certain Both RM and Barca are part of La Liga TV deal think the confusion is Barca have sold about 25% of the revenue from La Liga for thee next couple of decades to some Yank investment firm.

Real have been relatively quiet in the transfer windows last few years and sold quite a few players. Definitely would question the wages situation as guess quite a few high earners there, With Bellingham, Mbabppe and Vini Jr to name a few.

Makes sense. Not going to sell him, but I guess it makes Madrids interest formal to everyone so will now start talking to agents about summer move for free

If real offered 40-50 million it would be worth considering. But knowing real they would only offer about 10. You would think the club would have some idea the likelihood of Trent signing a new deal.

I would seriously doubt Trent would be interested in going now given our position in all competitions anyway.

He goes in the summer, bring home some big trophies, have a nice parade and we’ll say all the best chief

Hmm. I HOPE you're right, but I'm getting Coutinho vibes atm. :emoticon-0138-think

Why do Real need him now? In six months his contract ends and they can sign for free. He can sign a pre contract with Real and there’s nothing we can do about it.

When they played us they were struggling with injuries especially in defence not sure what the situation is now. I am with you knowing how Madrid usually operate surprised they are not waiting til the summer.
