My contention was Dortmund in the German league.
So Berger and KH Riedle then

Aubameyang too (initially)
My contention was Dortmund in the German league.

As mentioned above, Haaland, Gundogan, Kagawa, Akanji, and Aubameyang wasn't bad!Hard to think of someone that left Dortmund and dove well in PL...
Aubameyang did alright for a season.

Auxerre never played in a world cup.Djibril Cisse joined from Auxerre, don't think it was after a world cup.

Thomas Rosicky for Arsenal,Hard to think of someone that left Dortmund and done well in PL...
Aubameyang did alright for a season.
Most of their top players seem to join Bayern TBF though
Sometimes at work when i cantAre you ever not?
But no, it wasn't to do with the World cup.

Karl hienz RiedleThomas Rosicky for Arsenal,
The dressing room doesn't seem to be a happy place though. He don't throw players under the bus mate, he's just honest about what he sees.
Sancho has been **** and if he want's a fight he's picked the wrong man. People of a lot higher standing than Sancho have been ****ed off with no ceremony, just see Ronaldo for details.
When Gala send them to Europa, Ten Hag days will be over. Nov 29, mark my words. The dressing room doesn't seem to be a happy place though.
Ten Hag is a disciplinarian - so was Fergie, but he was a force of nature who despite falling out with people l, r and c still managed to stay on top. I don't see Erik matching him somehow.
The other advantage Fergie had was that having got Utd to the top, everyone wanted to play for them so it didn't matter who he ****ed off there would always be a ready supply of willing replacements.
Reputations don't die overnight, but it's a decade now since Man U were serious challengers, and with them no longer being the biggest spenders around, nor the biggest attraction, it might be wise not to gain a reputation for pissing people off.
Or it might be an indication to serious players that we won't suffer fools/slackers easily. The dressing room doesn't seem to be a happy place though.

Maybe, but I'd rather see a happy group of players at my club rather than them being fearful of a roasting.Or it might be an indication to serious players that we won't suffer fools/slackers easily.
And if you have a bad apple?Maybe, but I'd rather see a happy group of players at my club rather than them being fearful of a roasting.
I think a manager benefits from a good relationship with his players - not too soft, they need to remember who's boss, but they need to be able to trust him as well.
Got to remember many of them are young men, some little more than kids, and need careful management. They'll play better if they're enjoying themselves.
