I read it's £250k a week. I think Chelsea will play both him and Caiecedo ahead of Fernandez in a 3-2-4-1. Or 3- 5 2. He'll get more games than Gallagher, I expect.

yeah, I actually forgot how weak Chelsea are in midfield prior to these arrivals tbh. When you consider that James anf Chilwell will be bombing forward, that makes for a strong middle for them ffs

Financial Fair play is at their doorstep
They will just offer it a nice hot chocolate and a rich tea biscuit
It will then be satisfied

nothing is going to happen to any of these clubs
Madrid
Barca
Chelsea
Everton
They are the ones I can remember
But nothing of consequence- I should perhaps say, will happen other than either a very small fine or a very derisory points deduction

It really isnt.
We haven't breached Financial Fair Play, as per the rules as they are currently set out.
They can change the rules, but they cannot retroactively enforce them, so if they align PL rules with the UEFA rules on spreading out payments etc, it will only count for new signings going forward, they cannot retroactively make it count for signings made prior to the rule change.

yep, they’ve proven to be completely toothless. The punishments are now deemed an acceptable consequence to get where you want to be and models like LFC’s and many others are effectively dead.

Hopefully the Saudi interest in Alisson is bollocks but if true he’s the one player we should be saying is not for sale at any price.

The guy is the best keeper in the world. Doesn’t strike me as kind of player that will kick up a fuss but think he’s irreplaceable more so than any other player in the team.

Unless they are going to spend world record amounts on him, talking 150-200m then not for sale.

Unsettling players in our squad will benefit other Saudi interests. This needs sorting or the PL will implode at some point. Worrying times.

They could offer that. But the Saudi strategy so far has been to target the player rather the club in terms of incentive. They offer a good price to the club sure but the money offered to the player has been insane. Would any other club in the rest of the word offer £500-700k/week to a player like Henderson?

I have no idea on what is going on financially
However
I didn’t think it was fair removing the club from Roman
I don’t think it’s fair that they seem to be able to spend at will
I understand they are buying kids and selling loads on
But again I do not believe that is within the spirit of a sport - I didn’t like it when AC Milan stockpiled players

However - whatever are Chelsea are doing it could be shortened by just saying they a trying to win

Being totally honest it doesn’t bother me - I just wish they would stop the pretending and let everyone crack on

keep saying it - bang them all in an ESL for me.

We - appear to be trying to win some sort
If none existent morality cup

gonna call it the National Equitability Trophy

I guess the obvious conflicts of interest that are going on
The problem here for me is that all the Saudi clubs are doing is what the Premier league does to other leagues all over the world

granted there are some other more Machiavellian links here but it not much different to what has gone on before

I find on here more interesting than the games and league now tbh

Wow - that’s depressing
Sorry all lol <laugh>

The Saudi league is different in that it is bent as ****.
Yes the PL flexes its financial muscles on lesser leagues, but the top 4 clubs in the Saudi Pro League all have the same owner! <laugh>
That same consortium that owns those 4 clubs also coincidentally owns Newcastle United.
That is dodgy as hell.
Could you imagine the same consortium owning Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United? <laugh>

They could share the titles and trophies equitably <laugh>

not really. If the U.K. government had bought, say Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and the top 6 Premier League teams and then had them systematically bid on Real Madrids top players, offering eye watering amounts of pay, then it’s getting closer……but still not as bad.

Saudis are trying to own football. A super league of Arab owned clubs, including the bigger Saudi clubs and the pro super league clubs is inevitable Out of nowhere, they will control everything. Mark my words.
