He is to City, keeping their HG quota up will keep them in the CL so they would make that back in 2-3 years.
That's why Milner was offered £165k a week, not because he's worth it but was cheaper to give him a 40k pay rise than buy Wilshire for £40m plus £120k in wages.
Stones is rated as one of the best young CBs in the game, only your complete cluelessness and the fact that you've claimed he's ****e, stops you from acknowledging this simple fact.
I think it puts too much pressure on the young players as well. There's way too much scrutiny on Luke Shaw at the moment and I think its hurting his development.
If Stones gets promoted to the Man Utd first team you'll probably only get Januzaj and a few million in return though
Helped the team come 2nd last year... Stones helped Everton to mighty 11th which for them is some achievement I guess
Rio Ferdinand was 23 and the club captain with over 250 professional appearances. And one of the world's best defenders who was a regular at international level. Luke Shaw was 17 and had only played 67 professional games. A massive difference.
United have had many young players who helped the team win several trophy`s, they weren`t worth anywhere near £50m either
Personally i prefer courtois over cech because he dominates the box much better and is more sweeper keeper. However cech is still top class. He doesnt dominate as much the box as he used to but hes still pretty good at it. His shot stopping is still class and from your keeper you want a consistent keeper which he is. As for mikel and ramires i wouldn't call them more defensive than matic. Matic is much more defensively aware than both mikel and ramires. Mikel i think is useless and far too weak for his size and is pretty immobile so is rubbish when we get countered. Ramires is good for energy and going box to box but is basically a bad henderson
Just looking on arsenal board and thread there about jenkinson. Think he'd be a good signing for us (not that I see us going for him or arsenal selling to us). Natural rb. Still plenty of room for improvement but was very good for West Ham last year. On se note, Cresswell is one is be looking at although after 1 year with West Ham could be hard to prose away. Reminds me a lot of Baines and think he'll be a very good LB. I know we were linked with Leeds RB (byram) about a month ago but seems to have gone quiet, and other young prospect.
Whenever the Stone debate comes about I immediately think of this game: Comparing him and Sterling is strange as Sterling has had one great and one good seasons in his short career. This season for Stones has been average at best and last season wasn't really included. If he kicks on this season then of course his fee will be massive but to claim his 20 million plus is crazy, seeing as he hasn't shown or proven anything.
What I meant was as a pair they were much more protective and were always back in position. Ramires is more likely to do the defensive graft and track runners than Fabregas. I know Matic is a better DM than any of them but as a pair I think defensively Ramires & Mikel were stronger defensively because they don't have the obvious weakness of Fabregas.
Watching that really does bring back mixed emotions. Immediately puts a smile on my face and reminds me of the joy of watching is not just in that game but in many many games that season. I know it's said 100 times but Suarez really was In a different level to everyone else and brought the best out of those around him. But also sadness at how we probably won't see a player like him at anfield for a very long time and how might not see football like that either. Also, Shout out to Flanno for the 2nd goal, top RB
Liverpool have increased their offer for Real Madrid defensive midfielder Asier Illarramendi, 25 to £16m and the Spanish club could accept. (Marca) The Reds are monitoring Sevilla's Colombia striker Carlos Bacca, 28, and Venezuela forward Salomon Rondon, 25, of Zenit Saint Petersburg as alternatives to Aston Villa's Christian Benteke, 24. (Liverpool Echo) Raheem Sterling flew home from his holiday in Ibiza in a private jet as Manchester City consider increasing their offer to £50m for the 20-year-old Liverpool winger. (Daily Mail) Liverpool have been warned they will have to trigger Carlos Bacca’s transfer release clause if they want to take him to Anfield. The Reds have turned their attentions to Sevilla striker Bacca, who scored 28 goals in all competitions last season, after a rethink over Aston Villa counterpart Christian Benteke. Totteham and Italian club Roma are also interested in Bacca, who scored twice in last month's Europa League final win and has a £21.5million fee written into his contract. And Sevilla sporting director Monchi has warned any club wanting to take the player, who turns 29 in September, would have to stump up that sum in full.
