But we've had an official bid of £35m so he's worth at least that![]()
He is to City, keeping their HG quota up will keep them in the CL so they would make that back in 2-3 years.

That's why Milner was offered £165k a week, not because he's worth it but was cheaper to give him a 40k pay rise than buy Wilshire for £40m plus £120k in wages.

Stones is rated as one of the best young CBs in the game, only your complete cluelessness and the fact that you've claimed he's ****e, stops you from acknowledging this simple fact. You missed the part where Stones has done **** all whereas Sterling is regularly rated one of the best young players in the world![]()
Sterling has not gone for £50m. Good point in general though, the likes of Shaw have gone for way too much too early![]()
Ferdinand went for £30m as a young English CB 13 years ago.I don't think Stones is a £30m+ player but his value to Everton is close to that because they'd have to buy a centre half good enough to replace him for the next 10 years and they also lose a home-grown player.
10 years ago £10m for someone of Stones' ability would be ridiculous but with the way the market is at the moment and players like Sterling going for £50m & Shaw for £30m it doesn't really surprise me that we are talking about that much ££ for Stones.
No wonder English players never go abroad because they are ****ing miles too overpriced for their ability.
I think it puts too much pressure on the young players as well. There's way too much scrutiny on Luke Shaw at the moment and I think its hurting his development.

By his manager, even though he too has done **** all![]()

Helped the team come 2nd last year...
Stones helped Everton to mighty 11th which for them is some achievement I guess![]()

Disagree. Remember Chelsea had Fabregas & Matic in mdfield this season instead of the really protective but more defensive Ramires & Mikel partnership of last season. So that's irrelevant in my eyes. I'd be interested to hear what Chelsea fans have to say on the subject, I suspect they'd side with Courtois.

Comparing him and Sterling is strange as Sterling has had one great and one good seasons in his short career. This season for Stones has been average at best and last season wasn't really included.
If he kicks on this season then of course his fee will be massive but to claim his 20 million plus is crazy, seeing as he hasn't shown or proven anything.
Personally i prefer courtois over cech because he dominates the box much better and is more sweeper keeper. However cech is still top class. He doesnt dominate as much the box as he used to but hes still pretty good at it. His shot stopping is still class and from your keeper you want a consistent keeper which he is.
As for mikel and ramires i wouldn't call them more defensive than matic. Matic is much more defensively aware than both mikel and ramires. Mikel i think is useless and far too weak for his size and is pretty immobile so is rubbish when we get countered. Ramires is good for energy and going box to box but is basically a bad henderson
