well just had a quick look at some of the players about whom there is transfer chatter Lewis - came thru their youth team from 16 Godfrey - signed at 18 from York Aarons - came thru their youth team Cantwell - came thru their youth team so their development of players certainly seems fine . Philosophy is probably as straightforward as keep the club solvent whilst doing as much as possible on the pitch to never jeopardise the first .
I'm still trying to get my head round how coming second in the league with 97pts is "throwing the league"
Cut @Diego some slack. It must be hard to show his face on here and WUM, given that we are currently English, european and world champions. I’m surprised that he even bothers tbh, so rather than pan him for his feeble efforts, which they clearly are, admire him for his stoic attitude (to the point of ignorance) and think of a world without him and his ilk...Who live in their own little bubble, believe in OGS, still think they’re ‘great’ and finds criticism in what Klopp does (despite being the....see above)...what a bubble that must be I almost feel sorry for him tbh...
I could be nit picky here and say there's a difference between developing a player into a good player and just letting them play in the first team when they are 'old enough' and it's the cheaper option.
they had developed enough to get them promoted and for us to try and buy one so if i was Delia i would think "job was a good one" <hic>
Liverpool informed of Diego Carlos transfer stance as Sevilla drop asking price Liverpool may be in luck when it comes to making a move for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos with the Spanish club willing to negotiate their asking price this summer
Getting closer to being proved right. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53721186 No way was anyone going to spend £100m+ on a single player this summer. ManU were clearly trying some Barca/Real tactics of declaring they've made bids in order to unsettle a player in the hopes he'd hand in a transfer request and get Sancho at a knock down price.
I still think he’ll end up at Utd. Only because they always roll over and pay the big fee. Agents and negotiators of selling clubs must love them
Who has the biggest rolling in cash parties; someone selling a forward to Man Utd or someone selling a fullback to Man City?
I like the kid, but I still think he is best placed staying at dortmund. Plays a lot, big league and champions league, good football played too.
