Yes I agree they seem financially secure. I can't quite make out their overall philosophy or strategy. Other than being very frugal and keep ticking over they don't seem to have a plan to develop players or advance themselves as a club.
well just had a quick look at some of the players about whom there is transfer chatter
Lewis - came thru their youth team from 16
Godfrey - signed at 18 from York
Aarons - came thru their youth team
Cantwell - came thru their youth team

so their development of players certainly seems fine .
Philosophy is probably as straightforward as keep the club solvent whilst doing as much as possible on the pitch to never jeopardise the first .

You've got to give him points, for trying.

It must be difficult to have a go at the current English,European & world champions.

Its quite a funny wind up, "so will you be winning the prem or the champions league next year, ****ers only winning one major trophy"
I'm still trying to get my head round how coming second in the league with 97pts is "throwing the league" <laugh>

ffs at least put some thought into your wum attempts or just give it a rest as it its getting really tiresome now .

Cut @Diego some slack. It must be hard to show his face on here and WUM, given that we are currently English, european and world champions. I’m surprised that he even bothers tbh, so rather than pan him for his feeble efforts, which they clearly are, admire him for his stoic attitude (to the point of ignorance) and think of a world without him and his ilk...Who live in their own little bubble, believe in OGS, still think they’re ‘great’ and finds criticism in what Klopp does (despite being the....see above)...what a bubble that must be <whistle>

I almost feel sorry for him tbh...

He's very tame on here but once he's off the leash on the PL board, no holds are barred.

I could be nit picky here and say there's a difference between developing a player into a good player and just letting them play in the first team when they are 'old enough' and it's the cheaper option.

In other news liverpool aren’t looking to sack klopp to bring in Eddie Howe, Allison is not going to be replaced by Karius for next season and Lovren won’t be making a shock comeback
He can't make a comeback coz he never made it in the first place.:emoticon-0130-devil

they had developed enough to get them promoted and for us to try and buy one so if i was Delia i would think "job was a good one" <hic> :emoticon-0100-smile

So CL next season and another try for the PL the season after?

Some teams go for doubles or trebles, at least back to back wins to prove it's no fluke.
Still i suppose you are giving yourself the best chance of winning something, no shame i that.
Come on mate, make an effort. That's not even worth wasting the virtual ink on.

Liverpool informed of Diego Carlos transfer stance as Sevilla drop asking price
Liverpool may be in luck when it comes to making a move for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos with the Spanish club willing to negotiate their asking price this summer

Means **** all if they can't agree on a fee. And Dortmund are playing hard-ball atm

Getting closer to being proved right.

No way was anyone going to spend £100m+ on a single player this summer. ManU were clearly trying some Barca/Real tactics of declaring they've made bids in order to unsettle a player in the hopes he'd hand in a transfer request and get Sancho at a knock down price.

I still think he’ll end up at Utd. Only because they always roll over and pay the big fee. Agents and negotiators of selling clubs must love them <laugh>

But Man Utd have already booked the bus parade

I like the kid, but I still think he is best placed staying at dortmund. Plays a lot, big league and champions league, good football played too.
