Mané has started to re-emerge. He was great in the final. However, I think he would be easier to replace than Salah - not that I want either of them to leave <ok>

Mane's existing contract expires in 2021, if Real offers £m70 we can consider it, though I want him to stay.

The final suited Mané, even down to the fact that Salah went off.
It illustrated the difference between him and Firmino.
Mané is a bit of a solo performer whose weakness is his decision making. His change of pace leaves people for dead and he can go past most defenders with ease.
Firmino is more of a team player - he's developed an understanding with Mo and their intricate interplay is great to watch. Bobby doesn't have much pace though and can't do it all on his own. When Salah went off he faded badly, Lala just couldn't get into the game to work with him. Firmino is the linchpin of that attack, but he needs other quick thinkers to work with.

I agree with all of that. Mané stepped up when he needed to and we don't see much of that. It set him apart from most of the team in the final.

totally agree with this. Mane is brilliant at everything except for his decision making (and sometimes his suspect control). The only thing i would elaborate more on bobby being more of a team player is that he's the guy that helps link everything up and hold up the ball as well as initiating the press. I actually think this season mane has been the hardest working of the 3 as i constantly see him back in defence helping out and he's always up and down that wing.

Out of the three, mane has had the most defensive duties once your game plan had developed imo

Firmino tracks back a lot when our attacks break down. He commits a lot of mild "Who? Me?" sort of fouls which slow down the counter against us.
He also gets in a lot of defensive headers at set pieces for a (relative) short-arse.
He's the ultimate team player imo.

He gets away with it because they're fairly innocuous tackles and no-one's going to get hurt. But he obviously knows what he's doing, and it's really effective at buying us time when he does it high up the pitch.

French publication, L'Equipe, say Malcom is attracting interest from Jurgen Klopp, and the French club want £32million for their talented attacker.

The Brazilian has impressed for Bordeaux this season and has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, amongst others.

Mweh, hope he wants to stay otherwise off he can trot for the right price that is.

I like him but mirror what you've all said...he keeps the ball too long at times when the fast attack is on.... it doesn't matter in games where we have 14+ chances but frustrating in games where we get less.

Don't want any of the front 3 to go but of the 3 I'd worry less about losing him. If he goes we need someone just as pacy to continue the way we play at the moment though ...

mane looks an instinct player to me. i dont honeslty think he knows really what he is going to do next.

I also at times wonder if he has aimed a shot or not.

Out of the 3 Mane is the one that would hurt less if he were to go but only in the same way that I’d rather lose a toe than a finger or thumb.

Think we all agree hes not been his best his year, but his stats say he’s had another consistent season, add that into the fact that he’s prob no longer the main mane (pun intended) up top and been moved to accommodate Salah then hard to complain.

If we csn get another in to conpliment those front 3 will be well equipped as we’ve seen through the season what happens when we miss one of them. Getting someone to replace Firm would Be the hardest thing.

Do wonder if more likely to go 4231 and play Fekir in that 10 role behind a central striker (Ings/solanke) when Firm isn’t playing.

I don't think we will go 4231. I think klopp knows what he has and is looking for players to pass it into those pacy players.

fekir imo would be a cm like klopp wanted coutinho to be.

kieta is a dribbler and shooter.

    it's ultra offensive.

But don’t forget - Keita is a pressing beast. Fekir is no slouch either.

And Fabinho is a VERY good DM which means he can cover whilst the rest attacks.

no it's not.... according to those apparently now "trusted" as sources.

    frankly I'm ignoring it personally.

Liverpool signed Salah from Roma a year ago with the Egypt international since going on to establish himself as an Anfield great.

The 25-year-old bagged 44 goals for the Reds last term, driving them to the Champions League final along the way.

Salah was ultimately unable to fire Liverpool to the prize, with injury cutting short his match against Real Madrid.

Yet the Liverpool Echo say Klopp very nearly missed out on the wing wizard.

And that was reportedly because he instead preferred a deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt.
