I presume the player is the source in effect saying come and get me.

The thing about sky is they don't just post any rubbish with The word source. They invented those stupid football whispers ****e to Lethem publish the rubbish but they only use the word sources for something real.

ESPN use them as well, I suspect it is some university project that takes all published rumours and uses an algorithm to predict the most likely transfers every few hours.
 
'COUTINHO DEAL AGREED'
Big news coming out of Spanish media... Radio station RAC1 report that Barcelona have agreed a deal with Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
They say a deal has been agreed with the player himself, but a transfer still needs to be negotiated with Liverpool.
Quite how that works, without 'tapping up', is beyond me. But we'll wait to see how this one plays out.
Barcelona's press conference is coming up having been delayed by around half an hour.

Eh. This is just like the VVD ****, I won't believe any of it until it really gets serious.

This is how I see it, if Coutinho goes then he goes, sure we'll miss him but I'm sure we'll cope. I just hope that if he goes then 1. We'll have enough time to replace him with real quality, and 2. We get a good fee off of Barcelona for him.

Just popped up on the Sky transfer thread, nothing since.

If we didn't give permission to talk to player then report. Barca have already had a transfer ban. Send the message loud and clear they can't break the rules in such an open way....just like we can't.

And before anyone points to Southampton.. if we did it and they didn't really want to sell then they should have pursued the matter with the FA.

Now if we don't report them then back to my previous post....either Klopp is a liar or FSG are ****ing him over.


If any of it is remotely true of course lol

You note the timing of these.....

Both leaks are put out at a time when the internet can go wild and morning papers can be full of them without and counter stories.

It's all pure tactics.

That is the only thing to deduce from this episode. Staggering deception, by either FSG or Klopp himself. If it's true, either FSG or Klopp have to go, and no, that's not hyperbole (it's not as big a loss as Luis, but that isn't the point).

If FSG sell him without Klopps agreement would you expect him to walk?
 
As I said the timing tell you everything and you are already off assuming stuff.

Come the morning some statement or leak will come out of Liverpool.

All still very hypothetical (in case I'm accused of being hysterical lol)

I wouldn't blame him in the slightest. They let him say he had the final say on transfers. If that turns out not to be true surely his position is fatally undermined?

If Klopp knows he was telling a lie. There's only one way that could be accepted by fans. (The excuse would be I assume that not playing the game wouldn't get the best deal.) Results. We would need to get all our targets and improve on last year or more unlikely NOT get our targets and still somehow do better without Coutinho.

Let's see how it pans out....Barca are well known for this crap. How we react will tell us something.. .

Coutinho Agrees Personal Terms With Barcelona
Well, this escalated quickly. Reports now claim Coutinho has agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants
 
There's no smoke without fire imo. Perhaps we have a replacement lined up already. I said when we were linked to both VvD and Keita that I feared it would be at the expense of Couthino. We will see.
 
Seriously did you lads read nothing.


1. Can apparently agrees terms with juve.... then papers in Italy say it's off. In the meantime lfc statements through klopp says contract talks on going. Btw Jimmy you said one was already signed. It's a good job nobody minds you making **** up.

2. Coutinho apparently agrees terms with Barca. We heard of a rejected bid. Klopp says he is not for sale. Nobody seems to notice this is occurring while Barca have pressure on neymar. Story out just in time for English press to be full of it. How about we wait for off to speak here... or coutinho.

3. Vvd camp leak move still on story. Sky publish it as source close to paper but emphasis off have done nothing about it. Again in time for press to be full of it. All tactics. The player still trains alone. It says city and Chelsea still interested. Seems like player saying hurry up and buy me buf what do i know?

4. Rumoured 3rd Keita bid..... nothing happening so one can only conclude spoilers are guessing we will bid and put it out there to look itk. I note red bull have said nothing and they have been happy to shout loudly all the time on this. Meantime Keita kicks someone.... Who knows.....


This sums up my feelings on it. How fsg are stabbing anyone in the back from that Barcelona leaked story I don't know.
