<laugh> <laugh> Just had a quick look and all those players you mentioned played their 1 and only game - the game v Palace when Mourinho was saving the 1st team for the EL final. Gomes got a whopping 5 minutes <laugh>

Just by comparison local youngsters TAA had 7 games for us, Woodburn 5.
So Fosu-Mensah and Rashford trump your two, who else do you have :emoticon-0100-smile

Fosu Mensah is Dutch not local youth which I thought was the original point and Rashford's been playing 1st team since 2015.

Plus TAA is a full year younger than both of them and Woodburn's only 17.

You need to re-check that bit <ok>

Ah local, I thought it was academy/youth and league games only.
You know, Jose doesn't give youth a chance with his cheque book <ok>

Biggest shock of utd's 'youth' players for me is Lingard. Always thought he could be promising and will develop alongside Rashford, but the bloke is 25 this year and getting paid a crap load for what?

Always was and always will be a good squad player, not all can be stars but many can do a good job.

Wouldn't be surprised if MU let Lingard go this summer (didn't realise he was coming up 25 <yikes> )

Fergie saw something in him and held him back because he was so small and weak, I hope he knew what he was doing :emoticon-0100-smile

Lingard is a vry good player and links things up well as well as being great at tracking back. Think of Lallana but younger and a bit faster. Well worth his place in the squad.

I can only say I am never dismayed to see him in our starting line up, not every player can be the star of the team but the good ones do the job they are asked to do.

But at 100k a week he would be expected to be a star of any team below Everton which I don't see him as so like I said, I can't see anyone being interested in him given the wages.

Im not saying he's ****, think he's a decent squad option, never gonna be brilliant but will do a job for 20 games a year and get you 3/4 goals.
