Fosu Mensah is Dutch not local youth which I thought was the original point and Rashford's been playing 1st team since 2015. Plus TAA is a full year younger than both of them and Woodburn's only 17.
Ah local, I thought it was academy/youth and league games only. You know, Jose doesn't give youth a chance with his cheque book
So how does Riley get a mention from you when he hasn't played for Jose yet ... or any league games at all for utd ...
Genuine dropped bollock, he was down to play and got a serious injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season. I hope he comes back as good as he was.
Biggest shock of utd's 'youth' players for me is Lingard. Always thought he could be promising and will develop alongside Rashford, but the bloke is 25 this year and getting paid a crap load for what?
Yes...but how much was the contract this squad player just signed for?? Not his fault mind but football's gone f#cking nuts.
Fergie saw something in him and held him back because he was so small and weak, I hope he knew what he was doing Lingard is a vry good player and links things up well as well as being great at tracking back. Think of Lallana but younger and a bit faster. Well worth his place in the squad.
I can only say I am never dismayed to see him in our starting line up, not every player can be the star of the team but the good ones do the job they are asked to do.
But at 100k a week he would be expected to be a star of any team below Everton which I don't see him as so like I said, I can't see anyone being interested in him given the wages. Im not saying he's ****, think he's a decent squad option, never gonna be brilliant but will do a job for 20 games a year and get you 3/4 goals.
