Not wanting to wish the season (and the next 3 months of my life) away but excited about the summer window and who we'll be targetting. Last summers big buys have looked good, especially Mane and Klopp can certainly attract high quality (even better if we're in the CL). A couple of ready made first teamers and squad (assuming don't have big clear out) will be looking good again.
Thought I'd just do an assessment of our squad for next season on basis that for each position need 1 First team player, 2 Back up, 3 youth player. Out of current squad I think the below will probably leave in the summer. Moreno, Sakho, Lucas, Sturridge. GK - fine 1. Mig / Karius 2. Karius / Mig 3. Ward RB - probably ok 1. Clyne 2. TAA 3. Flanno LB - Def need 1st team, probably back up. 1. NEW 2. Milner 3. Flanno RCB - probably ok with Lovren back up 1. Matip 2. Gomez LCB - need new first team 1. NEW 2. Lovren 3. Klavan CM - definitely need 2 more if playing 433 1. NEW 1. NEW 1. Gini 2. Lallana 2. Hendo 2. Can 3. Stewart 3. Grujic RW/LW - definitely need 1. Possibly 2 if looking to move Cout into more central midfield role. 1. Mane 1. Coutinho 2. NEW 2. NEW 3. Woodburn 3. Ojo CF - depending on Firm's future position, possibly a first choice striker needed 1. Firm 1. Origi 2. Ings So really, 3/4 first team players needed in key areas where we are weak. Get those in, keep the rest of the squad minus a couple who have barely played (mentioned above) and the depth is looking a lot healthier all of a sudden. Go from having 4 youth players in the bench, to having current first team players like Hendo, Can, Lallana, Origi, Lovren, Milner on the bench, able to come on and change the game.
Football Liverpool transfer latest: Forgotten man Marko Grujic to join Dinamo Zagreb on loan for the rest of the season
Good move. He's been injured and he's still young. Looked great in pre-season, especially vs Barca. Feel like he's the forgotten man, hopefully he does well.
Don't like making lists of who to sell. Don't really care as long it's not like Aquillani or Balottelli. Just know that we need a LB, LCB, CM (x 2 first teamers preferably) and a main man who scores goals.

Liverpool transfer news: Chase for Riyad Mahrez is on Leicester's sudden resurgence has put Algerian back in the shop window - latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip http://www.theweek.co.uk/liverpool-...ol-transfer-news-chase-for-riyad-mahrez-is-on
Both those players had the skill just no work ethic. Trouble is in this day and age how do you know who has that for the prem which is harder to play in than most leagues? Yes I realised when posting this that doesn't apply to ballotell as much lol but aqua man should have made it.
IMO We need CB, LB,CM,CM,W,ST... minimum. If you look a tthat squad the 4/5 bought in would have to be absolute top players as really quality looks lacking otherwise.
I did think that but wasn't sure. So that would replace Coutinho who then plays where? We going to change formation to fit him in or put him in cm with hendo and wiji?
Probably confused myself here lol. But Coutinho is playing lf isn't he. So the mid 3 are where the winger would come in? Even though all 3 play as cm. So who would be replaced in mid? Why not try Moreno, he's quick and has a decent cross and pace on him for crosses, don't have players in box to get on end of though do we unless sturridge plays more. Then hopefully all we need to teach Moreno is you need to get back to try and help defend as he is ****e at lb but is decent going forward?
probably because he wasn't good enough as a winger hence dropped back into left back. I would stlll keep him just because he's still youngish and he has come in and done a decent enough job ey n called upon. Not good enough to be a starter.
If we had to prioritise, I would go all out on central midfielders. Spend big because they are crucial to both defence and attack.
