someone should be sacked over delle ali. Rogers went and the player was meant to be riven to melwood by his manager to meet him.

be it ayre or be it whoever. sack.

Bertrand is no great shakes but yeah for a player who won a europa playing for seville to be sold off for 12mil after them holding out for more should have worried us in hindsight.

Of course small clubs make a few killings. they always do but then again nobody pays attention when the blow it and buy ****e.

nobody seems to be critical of southampton for making their side worse and swore and struggling to score with long and redmond and austin while van dijk makes them look like geniuses.... or the ****s they bought at CM when romeu plays decently.

Payet cost a lot, was old and somehow west ham managed to get marseille (apparently) to give them a **** ton for him.. his attitude stunk.

Mahrez.. meh... kante.. well done steve walsh like////

It'd be a crying shame if the profits we made on ibe and stelring and suarez etc were recognised like.

    Everyone gets it right sometimes.

mane for example. matip for example. people just seem to want a messi for 500k to be happy now.

11 was really cheap imo at the time and we showed no interest.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eyeing up a new goalkeeper according to Marca.

The Spanish newspaper reports that the Reds boss is chasing Antonio Adan of Real Betis as he is attracted by the player's supposed low buyout clause of a mere £6.8million.

    I call bullshit.

Is adan part owned by real or something?

We have had some hits and some misses - I'm sure the fans of other clubs can say exactly the same about theirs.

Exactly Saint, there will be long lists at every club where decent players are picked up for relative peanuts, or big fee's are wasted on players that
just don't work out. We are certainly not alone in that regard.

Agree mostly......van Dijk is a point to mention....and this isn't just us btw....how the f*ck nobody else could see his ability is beyond me!......are we just looking in the wrong places? Kante is similar. He didn't just become very good.

It's very competitive out there.....but as one of the 10 largest clubs in the world but without the purse strings of say a Utd, surely we should be hoovering up such talent well before the likes of Leicester or Southampton (with no disrespect) even get a sniff....maybe a far too simplistic way of looking at it....just a Monday morning depressing thought <laugh>

He was seen to have been a bit of a wide boy in holland who didn't work hard enough and thats why celtic bought him. Southampton have a well beaten track up to celtic and picke dup forester, wanyama and van dork there.

Van dijk did well in europe for celtic such as it was.

celtic and southampton looked at talent and too k the risk of attitude sorting itself.

We are so afraid of someone not really trying very hard like a deapy or balotelli we don't take the risk.

the reality is every young talent is going to dortmund who seem to be completely off the hook regarding squad size or how many players to be bought without klopp as manager.

I saw a special feature on Southampton where they have accepted that they will never be able to keep hold of their best players. So they have a database of players for every position to replace the ones sold. The player should match the profile of the one who is being targeted. This database has coaches too so the moment Puel is gone they have a replacement ready.

The moment Van D goes I can guarantee you they have another gem in place waiting to sign for peanuts.

Can't we just steal that database....

Moyes keen on Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo. He really can't buy anyone who hasn't played for him before.

why would sunderland shackle themselves to these guys when they know they are sacking the guy in 2 month?

IMO sunderland are doing a villa. selling up and building a war chest for the next guy along in the championship.
