It's a shame we couldn't shift lambert for the £5m villa were offering. Effectively a straight swap for Ings then. I know which I'd prefer

Aston Villa loan signing Scott Sinclair, 25, says he would "think twice" about joining a top-four club in the future after seeing his career stagnate at Manchester City.(Birmingham Mail)

Think twice...? that sounds like a player that's learnt his lesson <doh>

He's spent the last 2 years trousering £60k a week for doing nothing apart from humping a Corrie actress.

You'd think he'd have said he wouldn't join a top four side again rather than just think about it. Also Does that mean if Man City finished fifth he would consider rejoining them? (I know he's only out on loan)

Why say top 4? Very harsh on Arsenal and us. Just say City and Chelsea are black holes for young players.

Of course, if he does refuse to join a top side including us and Arsenal then its good news for Everton. they'd have a much better chance of signing him as they'd only have to hop the likes of Southampton, Swansea and West Ham etc don't show a interest then :bandit:

And Tottenham. And Stoke. And Newcastle. And Sunderland. And Crystal Palace.

There are big clubs which do focus on youth and development - Barca, Ajax, Porto etc. With the exception of Barca, the other 2 are still big names in world football.

What young players need to do is simply avoid the wealthy clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, City, PSG because they will continue to buy big names. They need the best chance of winning titles to earn more money to offset the spend. It's a vicious cycle.

There are still big clubs out there who will develop and coach players.

Is Camacho from Malaga any good?
He was rated highly when he was at At Madrid, got injured and they moved him on. Since then he's kind of dropped off the radar. At 24/25 he could still have time to recover his ability, same time he could be finished.
On a free I'd maybe consider going for him, its a position we need players for.

Sakho 18m
Can 10m
Moreno 11m
Sturridge 12m
Coutinho 8m

Proof that you can find good players and build good teams on modest budgets. Give the committee full control over transfers and stop wasting money on average players. <ok>

Glad that Rodgers gave the final approval on all of those players, any other manager might not have wanted to take the risk on the young players <ok>

West Brom striker Saido Berahino, 21, wants to leave the club at the end of the season to "move on to better things". (Times - subscription required)

David Moyes' Real Sociedad are preparing a bid to re-sign Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, 24, who is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool.

Manchester United and Liverpool have been alerted to the availability of Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, 30, whose agent claims he will leave the club. (Express)

All sound fkae and agent agitation to me.

The berahino one is pointless and his agent clealry has only one think on his mind and that is to get as much agent fees as he can as putting this out is not in berahino's interests right now. he is far better off with his new manager unitl may playing as well as possible and not having friction there. If he does real well (9/10 goals) his 25mil move will happen... but the agent only sees his cut and now i reckon barahino could be in trouble with west brom... pulis is prob ok though... he won't give a toss unless the boy fails to bother his arse.
