    Good fee.

Academies shouldn't just be about producing for the first team. They should be treated as a business as well - We should be looking at selling players who aren't good for the top level and generating extra money.

well.. this is a hard one.

    1. they are schools as well.. not a business in flesh. thus the responsibility to the child at 8 or whatever age is education, possible career and life long skills.

    2. Yes they should be self sufficient.

    3. They should not be either blocking development but neither simply dropping kids left and right. Thus Sinclair is not a local he was brought in as a young teen. the responsibility the club has to the player is if he does x and y he may get experience and may end u pas a pro at any of 100 clubs going forward

    4. the only reason we got anything is the laws about u24 meaning club gets paid for development. in this case the player treated it as a business so can phook off. There's prob 100 kids who got dropped form LFC academy in his time that would have loved the chance he had.

Over all If more kids can at the very least have a good experience learn skill and either be an amateur, semi pro, pro of LFC por while getting a better education than otherwise thats great. If we get a few first team squad members out of it as well.. ideal.

Liverpool Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Watford for the transfer of striker Jerome Sinclair.
The 19-year-old has secured a move to Vicarage Road upon the expiry of his Reds contract but, as he is under the age of 24, his registration would have been subject to compensation in the form of a development fee.
However, following amicable and professional discussions between Watford and Liverpool, the clubs have reached an agreement regarding a transfer.
Liverpool would like to wish Jerome all the best in his new career with Watford.

he best of the modern era?
It’s quite a claim, but Scandanavian newspaper Dagbladet have named the 15-year-old as the best young talent to come through in the modern era.

The report reads: “Sandvik Tagseth is more perfect than Ødegaard was the same age, a year before Real Madrid player debuted in La Liga and the national team.

He has a lot of what Ødegaard had plus a little more. He’s almost frighteningly complete for such a young player.

“U15 national team coach Gunnar Halle agrees with Grøttland that Edvard Sandvik Tagseth looks to be the best player to come through the Norwegian system in modern time. Edvard started working on technique at the age of four, in a barn turned into an indoor football pitch.”

We will check on him once the academy are back in training in the next couple of days - but reports suggest his is to join up with the Reds next summer, when he turns 16.

Until then, here’s the lad in action:

Yep, if he goes to a PL side it wont be to a rival he would improve.
Still think Maureen will take a crack at fixing him to show just how bad van Gaal was.

As much as he would improve them they are not a rival so selling to them would be no problem, just a waste.

For all but 3 or 4 games I wouldn't argue with that, he does have the ability, just needs someone to hammer it out of hiding.

Depay clearly has some talent but looks like just really struggled to adapt to the prem where the defenders are bigger and better and the game is faster and more physical.

See so so many players from Dutch league come over and struggle.. First season can always give bit of leeway, but his issue now will be mourinho. Unless he's had a change of heart lver his wingers, they're expected to do as muh defending as attacking and Depay doesn't look like can do that job.
