I think the mega money would be brilliant in terms of investing in the club as a whole - stadium, infrastructure, global networks, facilities.

I wouldn't mind spending lots on players either but there has to be a plan and we have to be in a position to be where we can be self sustainable.

Well I can tell you this..... the only way anfield will ever be a 75k stadium is to fill in the corners and redo Centenary stand with 3rd tier.

And the only way to do it is build a rail link and NO roi will justify that.

I say if some mad ****er with oodles of dash wants to hand some over fine.... but the dangers are well known at Anfield. We've been down the road before.

Sadly it doesn't matter what the fans or the local community think; if FSG get an offer that's attractive to them they may well sell. It is what they do. The club is a commodity. Local ownership is a thing of the past. The Premiership is "for sale".

Doesn't matter where they're from if they're the right people...

Football is about days out, memories, getting irrationally attached to players and occasions.

For our expectations, and to live up to the memories many of us already have of Liverpool successes as kids or adults... we need as much money as possible.

The manner we spend the money comes after.

Well...current owners are only "the best" if they want us and want to invest in us.

They've done just over the minimum so far....that's not a complaint...They've done what they said they would...unlike the previous Arseholes.

Do I think there are a couple of things that have put FSG off? Yes.

    1) FFP didn't happen....they spent so much time talking about it and how their regime would show a new way under it that now it's a bust...

    2) they honestly thought their way would work...they abandoned it with the red socks but are they committed enough to do it with us.

    3) I think they've been genuinely pissed off by supporters telling them they've shown Yankee arrogance. I think they thought we should have been more grateful.

On the other side...the tv money solved the FFP issue.

They have tripled their investment...could they see more or do they think they've personally hit the peak selling price for them?

I don't think they will get any more money than what's offered without success in Europe and titles to make us more attractive.

Only way that's happening is big investment in players as we have a lot of crap to get rid.

I know someone will say Leicester, doubt that will happen again, also we need decent players who normally cost to keep hold of what little quality we have.

Yeah...would love to say Leicester can repeat but I think it's a Blackburn unless the french and English players they have light it up enough to get huge money (dunno Leicester contract arrangements) to respend and then it's down to manager skill.

    So.

Do they stay around for a year to see what Klopp can do while still being able to say to sellers he's only really a year in to his own team by this time next year...CL trophies etc might with Klopps rep bump the Bruce but at selling whole clubs level not by that much I would assume....?

I don't see how it as when all the other twenty PL teams get the extra TV income too.

That means we don't gain any advantage on the teams we are chasing, especially those that can out spend us.

Our biggest asset is having Klopp as manager; someone who likes to find a deal, likes to develop players and is all too familiar with the "underdog" type club that still has aspirations for winning the league.

Ffs...right ..not creating a thread for it but I use the mobile version of this site...does anyone know an app that's predictatext actually predicts correctly...

Using Google keyboard...after hating the Samsung for same reasons... won't predict at tim with ludicrous defaults but tap back and they always give you the right word.

I'm a tapper...and all these keyboards want you to be a swiper...is this their plan?

Not true...we get (at moment) more money because we are on tv more. Then not as good..pl placement. I thought it was equal but there's big bonuses for times extra on tv a over the "x" amount of matches the channels have to show every team.

    We somehow still a tractorlol
