Yes. I don't slag him off like you lot of ungrateful batards on here, but he's not good enough and it's time to go. Best for both parties and any money for him is a bonus.
Yes. Matip plays for cameroon. the ANC is on next january. So that takes him out for all of january and half of feb so thats 6 weeks where we will be down to two CBS plus kids as we speak. It makes perfect sense to me that another would arrive.
Definitely need one more CB. Rumours that we've extensively scouted Tah so hopefully we push through on that one.
I don't think FSG are doing a bad job.. They've given all their mangers money to spend, the fact that they spent it not so wisely, its not FSGs fault! They've committed to major improvements to Anfield. They've gone out and got us Klopp.. Yes, they tried to pull a fast one on cost of tickets, but they did back done, hopefully, they won't try that again in the future.. But, even then, I'd like to remain under their stewardship.. Saying that, if someone else wants to invest in LFC, I wouldn't say no, sell them a stake of the club for X Million, use that "wisely" on the squad and further improvements to the stadium, training facility, on youth development, etc... That would be Win Win!
With regards to the recent out goings.. Skrtel, a loyal servent, at his best, was decent, at his worst, need I say more.. but I ain't gonna bash the lad.. good luck to you Martin! Badontelly.. erm.. that didn't go all well, hope he buggers off sooner rather than later!
I don't think that's 100% correct. The senior people they've entrusted with the money to spend are in those prominent positions because of FSG. However, I don't have a axe to grind. They were on several steep learning curves, so there were bound to be mistakes along the way. I've no issue with them
Its difficult isn't it. Whilst it would be nice to have load of money to spend, go out and buy who we really want (or need) and pay them the wages like Man City. However it does leave a slight soulless feel to the club, Man City are not the same Man City and they've lost some of that old nature of the club. But mainly I want the club to buy the right players and keep the right players and not spunk money on another Carroll or Benteke type signing. If these Chinese are serious about the club, I'd say the best option would be for them to buy a percentage of the club, work with FSG in ensuring the future of the club is maintained and move forward. And then if the Chinese are still serious after a certain period, then perhaps a complete takeover might be on the cards.
also has anyone commented on james pearce reporting on gotze on a continuing basis? seems he's saying bayern are going to leave him out of CL squad and force him out.
