Hope we have a buy back clause as we saw with sturridge what happens when these guys get to be the main man.

Welbeck was always considered better than sturridge until sturridge went liverpool and was top dog.

Wellbeck is much better than he's given credit for. Ive always liked him.

Still only 23 he's got great potential.

I don't know about that I think everyone recognized the potential of Sturridge, all he needed was to tone down his selfishness and get a shot as a CF.
 
Gonna throw this out there. Hes better than any striker you have had since van persie. I know a minority of you rate giroud but most recognise that hes second rate at best.

Hes not miles better, just offers more and will fit in with your style better.

I'd play both Walcott and Campbell over him. The point is for us to bring in better players, not stock players, we've been through all that. What's the point of bringing in Sanchez and Ozil when we have an average CF?

Like welbeck he was a laughing stock for most of us. In reality they were both at the wrong clubs.
 
There's also one other thing in favour of a Welbeck transfer.

He's already an established Premier League player. No adaptation time needed.
