Welbeck will excel at arsenal. Were all laughing but you guys will love him. 9 goals in 16 starts last season btw.
Anyone remember a time when we had only 6 defenders in our first team. I was just about to say that Miguel is ****, but apparently we are in agreement with Wenger there, considering he's about to make a permanent move away from the club. We can't possibly go into the season with Chambers being the only backup for CB, RB and "having a go" at DM?
Welbeck is class just needs a run of games in his preferred position, but no doubt Arsen will use him as a winger lol
As I've said before I actually rate Wellbeck so its not too bad. He's far better technically than Sanogo at least. Most of us were saying we needed a striker a DM and a CB to compete BEFORE Giroud got injured.
All you need to ask is "is he better than Sanogo?" The answer, irrespective of who the question is asked about, is "yes."
Wellbeck is better than what we currently have, plus he is an England international remember. I remember he once kept Rooney out! So not a bad signing, if we get him.
He's not what we want, but he's infinitely better than what we have. Plus he'll be coming into a situation where he'll have something to prove. No guaranteed place past Christmas, so he'll want to prove he can do the job before then.
I'd take Welbeck, he's quick, mobile, techincal and has got an eye for goal. Much better improvement on Sanogo. Not a marquee signing but I think he'd do well at Arsenal. I hope it happens.
Neither do I. He is an over-hyped English player who is no more than Spurs class eg. another Defoe. Is he an improvement on our current striking options of Pod, Walcott, Campbell and Sanchez, then no. Buying him makes no logical sense.
A list of our defenders on arsenal.com please log in to view this image A 19 yo comes in having not secured a first team spot in Southampton, and becomes a critical component of the team, leaving us ****ed if he's injured. No disrespect to him, he's been great... but this doesn't happen to a team with any kind of ambition.
David Ornstein: "Arsenal are interested in signing Danny Welbeck from Manchester United. It is not clear if this would be permanent or loan. No deal has been agreed and no medical has taken place."
And what about Campbell and Walcott? I think people are getting too desperate in that they are thinking irrationally. We are Arsenal, we don't buy Spurs class players!
