Apparently Wenger said Giroud's ankle did not look very good. If he's injured then Wenger may be forced t dip in for a striker. Hopefully a DM, Manolas and it'd probably be Bony if we do buy a forward.
I think we could do with a proper DM now, one that's capable of playing CB. One thing I've noticed is that at set pieces we don't have guys on the posts, maybe Wenger is thinking that by taking the guys off the posts we have more men in the box to to increase our chances of winning the ball, so perhaps with a bit more of a specialist in the air we can make that system work. It's risky but if we get it right it'll be fine. Carvalho seems like a suitable candidate.
Add a CB for backup which seems like it's going to be like Manolas and our squad is pretty stacked for all challenges. The only change I'd make after that is adding a top forward, I'm not sure if it's going to happen though, hopefully it does. In an ideal world we'd sell Podolski - high wages and average performances - and get someone like Cavani, Falcao or Reus. I certainly think we have the money to do all that.

The "where he goes" is out of context. He didn't mean club, the question from the reporter was something about his actual physical location... i.e. he went to Germany or something. Ancelotti just said he had permission to go.

Let's be honest ... any player who needs a clause assuring good behaviour inserted into his contract is someone we don't want to go near with a barge pole.

We forget that Diaby will be fit soon* and hence will be like having a "new signing".

This basically highlights the fact that we are screwed if Giroud gets injured at anytime, quality DM and CF required this season other wise questions need to be asked ,ffs we finished seven points behind the PL winners you would think after getting that close that the club would be going all out to bridge the gap,can't see it happening though Wenger is just too conservative in his ways.
Unless we make some signings before the window closes, it will be pretty much the same old story from last season and many others, not strengthening positions that need to be properly strengthened, and thus handicapping ourselves for the upcoming season. It's clear we still need at least 2 players minimum, 3 max, with a striker, a DMF, and a CB.
