Weirdly the rumours are pointing to Reus.
Obvioulsy he's a World Class talent but its not an area we are short in. In fact we probably have too many players in this position. (Still I wouldn't say no to a player of his quality.)
Also Di Maria rumours are back - would be really weird if we bought in another Wing Forward.
I'm sure Wenger has in his own around about way, said he is happy with his attacking players. It's just the defensive side that he is looking into. I think the most likeliest is a CB, and the max is a CB and a DM. I really don't see any attacking players coming in.
Because we are all hoping its probably not true.
Spending £20-30 million on a inexperienced French playmaker while we turned down the chance to sign Fabregas would be complete idiocy.
The rumour is £50m including wages. So 4 years at £120k pw (?) would be £25m and therefore £25m transfer fee. No idea what wages he'd want.
I'd sign Reus in a heartbeat. I appreciate he's not what we need but then neither was Cesc and I'd have brought him back too. I just don't think you can pass up on such WC options when they crop up. Sadly, signing such players would mean others have to make way but, you know, Reus!! Signing all the Germans is a good policy right now anyway..
I imagine though that if we're to sign any "first choice" players then them coming to us will be dependent on Champions League football qualification, much like other seasons. I still think we'll bring in the likes of Manolas without too many problems should we be after him.

This. Reus in a heartbeat (even if we had to move on Pod or Caz). Also i thought the french kid, Rabiot, is a DM/CB he can play both but ideal in DM if so it makes perfect sense why Wenger is looking at him.
Though I agree with most that at the back is where we will reinforce.
Lol, who have you been reading that we would pay £20-30m on him? There are reports that PSG want that much, and that everyone else has gone "LOL!" at them. The rumour is that we've offered around £5.5m.
Yeah I agree with that, I think if we had a midfield and strike force of khedira, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott, reus and alexis we would take the league by storm and would have a good chance at winning the champions league. Also, giroud would then be a good plan b.
I'm still not keen on Khedira. Would much rather we had a Lars Bender type player if we're talking "teams which will never happen"!
