He'll be played in the centre whereas Sturridge will go to the right. But to be honest, the best place for him to go to is Arsenal. Wenger for me is the best candidate to control Balotelli.
Balotelli is a massive risk. On one hand he has World Class potential but so far at almost 25 years old he hasn't lived up to it. He has a bad attitude - which could have a massively negative effect on a squad. He is lazy, aggressive, I doubt he follows any kind of nutritional advise .. but occasionally he puts the work in and is almost always rewarded with goals. Wengers approach may work with him but I don't think he is willing to take the risk.
He just turned 24 last week , but yea, safe to say our fans are divided. Personally I think at £15-17mil it is worth the risk
Didn't want him when he was linked with us. Not the kind of attitude we need. Haven't seen anything of him to suggest he could fulfill his potential at any time. He is a class player on his day, but that day isn't often enough to be worth shelling out big money for.
I still hope we go in for Khedira. He would offer us a more athletic dynamic midfield option. Perhaps not a typical DM but he's just as defensive as Arteta and would offer us a lot more in terms of pace and power.
Di Maria rejects new Real contract and wants to leave according to BBC. AW - get on it. Walcott, Ozil, Di Maria and Sanchez as our front 4... yes please. And if anyone says it wouldn't work because we need a big unit up front I'm going to vomit on my keyboard.
If United do get Di Maria and another top signing or two by throwing money at them, and Liverpool get Balotelli... then the race for top 4 this year will be epic!
The neutral footballing side of me wants that to happen. It would shake things up in the top 4 and the season would indeed be epic. But manure are struggling to get their top targets nowadays but Liverpool getting Balotelli will probably be the best signing of the season if Brendan can get him to play properly. For £16m it is well worth the risk.
I love Balotelli. I'd happily take a gamble on him just to fulfill my shenanigans kick! Seriously though if utilised properly I think he will be finally able to unlock his potential permanently. For all his idiocy he looks like a big man child who needs to feel appreciated. I think Wenger's style of management could suit him. Moot point though as we'll never go for him.
Agreed. Even if he put his fireworks down his pants and burned half his bollocks off, he would still hit 15-20 goals in the Prem for us under Wenger. We've had lesser players hit more than 15 goals for us, just imagine a man of his talents. But as you say he won't be coming to us so not worth thinking about.
For the prices being quoted for di Maria I think we'd be better going for reus. I don't think we should be getting too upset about balotelli going to Liverpool, as most are saying it's a gamble. Who knows which way it'll go. Khedira would be an excellent signing although I'm still hoping Lars bender might be on the cards. Either way, hopefully Wenger has at least 2 signings up his sleeve.
I was under the impression that he'd not featured that much last year and, when he did, was a bit "meh". I know he's only young as you say so will no doubt improve but if he didn't get much time then and with the arrivals of so much extra talent will they be that desperate to hold onto him? I could be wrong mind as I don't follow Spanish football that closely.
It's money bags Real Madrid isn't it. Problem is they keep on buying top quality players so the ones that are already with them never get the chance. But he is suppose to be highly rated though...
