What sort of player is Schneiderlin? Khedira, Lars Bender, and Vidal are all box to box players. I'd rather have Arsenal buy someone a bit more defensive minded to sit next to Ramsey.

A more out an out dm than the others (but then so is Bender). Vidal and Khedira are box to box (K more than V). 30mn is too much especially as we can get most of the others for that much. The crux might be Schneiderlin will be on wages of 50-75 while Bender would be on 100+ also Khedira and Vidal will be on 150k+. So while Schneiderlin might be more expensive in terms of cost but in terms of and wrecking our wage structure Khedira and Vidal would be far worse.

Out of that lot I would far prefer Bender who is an out and out Dm would cost the same as Schneiderlin, while being a better player, and would not wreck our wage structure.

In order of preference I would go ...

1. Bender
2. Vidal - although he's FAR too attacking for our needs.
3. W.Carvalho
4. Gundogan
5. Mascherano
6. Khedira
7. Strootman

I could name another 10-15 possibilities before I got to Schneiderlin. He's decent but nothing special.

He rarely gets forward, and he rarely score goals.

He sits in the middle of the park, intercepting absolutely everything and quietly going about breaking up play. And then when he has the ball at his feet, he will pick out a pass (long, short, cross-field, whatever) like the very best of them.

Slightly Xabi Alonso esque I guess.

I think he'd be a great fit for you/Wenger, and he's the sort of player you need to see every week to really appreciate, but he's not worth £30m.

Pogba?

Bendtner's rejected a £57,000 p/w deal from Frankfurt. Does he really think he's going to get offered more money than that?

Bendtner is a Tit. He's without a club at the moment and you would think he'd jump at the chance to sign another contract. How much further does his career have to go down the pan before he realises he's not going to command £100k at a top club.

How many players have you signed this window? And how much have you spent?
Am asking cos your board seem quite happy compared to previous windows

So far, five.

Alexis Sanchez: £35m
Mathieu Debuchy: £12m
Georgios Spanoudakis: ?
David Ospina: £3m
Calum Chambers: £7-16m
Total: £57-66m

All estimates of transfer fees, of course.

Remy's transfer to Liverpool fell through. Some issue with his medical, apparently.

according to SSN the deal fell through as Borini wouldn't be sold to Sunderland, so its nothing to do with his medical.

wouldn't mind us bidding for Remy to add to our squad depth
