He doesn't want to join us. He might genuinely want to stay or Schalke or he might be hoping for one of the superclubs. Who knows

I was just responding to what the TheBear said that he was overpriced.
Same applies with Balotelli really. If you can get him for under £30m, it should be a no brainer, when you look at the going rate for top class strikers these days.

There were some reports of Schalke wanting £40m for Draxler in January, which is crazy money.

I agree though that if we can get a player like Balotelli for under £30m then we should go for it. I've got reservations about Balotelli, whether he works hard enough for the team, is mobile enough etc. But he's got bags of raw talent and if he's determined to put his ego to one side as he says he is, then there's also huge room for improvement.

Personally though, I'd like to see us try and sign Mandzukic. He works tirelessly for the team and suits our style of play much better than a target man like Balotelli. Either way though I'd be happy if we signed one of them. I just hope we don't get to the last day of the window and end up signing another 'Sanogo' on a free
 
I wouldn't say no to Mandzukic but I do feel he is quite similar to Giroud. Also, he is 28 so is unlikely to get any better. Whereas Balotelli is only 23 with bags of potential.

Heck Andy Carroll cost Liverpool £35m, I know they got raped royally on that sale but still.

Bottom line, if you can get a great striker, who is, or is very likely to be very soon, World class, for under £30m......then go for it.

Well No back last Summer the asking price was said to be 40 Million Euros (£37 Million)

He's a year older and the hype if anything has grown.

I would guess they will want up to £45 Million.(particularly if he makes an impact at this world Cup)

if there is any truth in this rumour then WTF AW are you doing, passing on CESC to take United cast off ? if we do sell VERM to united then take cash and invest in what we need, we don't need cleverly who is a third rate Wilshere wannabe whose only plus point is that he doesn't get injured as much as Jack.

as to Verm to united, he isn't the first choice with us or Belgium as Spud CB is [he gave away penalty today twat] so is only a loss to squad depth.

i agree with an early post that we should stand firm and say leave now to go abroad or sit on bench for a year and go where you like.

i think the real key to Verm to united rumour is that some hack has spotted that RVP and very have same agent, and plus its silly season and every ****ing player is going somewhere according to the hacks - bunch of ****s the lot of them.
 
Sami Kadeira has been told he can leave Real (supposedly) with United sniffing around. Surely he'd be worth a punt right? Seeing him playing with Özil was brilliant. Think he's such an underrated player and would really boost our squad.

Oh, and Ochoa was awesome last night! I'm not one to pick a player solely based on a major tournament but..damn! Also he's free and I imagine a damn sight better than our back up striker of no-one/Martinez.

The addition of Kadeira/Balotelli/Ochoa/Aurier would certainly ease the pain of not getting Cesc! Watch us get Williams and Remy and hearing all about the faith Arsene has in the first team...<wah>

Yeah Khedira would be a great signing.
Tall, athletic, technical and can play both CM/DM. He's also said to be best friends with Ozil.

Ochoa doesn't look remotely good enough though.
 
Well I've only seen him play the once and he kept a clean sheet against Brazil, pulling off a number of top saves in the process. Based solely on that I reckon he's alright!

The friendship thing with Özil is massive too. The poor lad looks down all the time and I reckon having his mate with him would perk him up no end! Also, as already mentioned, Khedira is, you know, good!
