A word on Graham Hunter... his reliability is terrible. Said Ozil had been hijacked by Manure the day he signed for Arsenal. I wouldn't listen to a word the guy says. I think we'll know more on Cesc after the WC.

What do people think of getting Lukaku. Proven Prem quality and will get better with time as he is only 21/22. Would be available around 20mn and sensible wages. A sticking point will be will chelsea sell? But with them just clearing FPP and looking to buy players we could convince them to sell. While I would prefer the likes of Costa, Benzema, Cavani (the elite players) they are relatively unrealistic. Also he has the potential to reach that level.

No way Chelsea will sell to us. They actually have fully functioning brain cells.

50% of any profit was my understanding but, as with any of this, it's purely speculation as I doubt any of us has seen the paperwork. What is meant to be true is that should someone offer £35m + then Barca are obliged to offer him to us first for £30m assuming they intend to sell. What hasn't been mentioned in all this is Cesc's own opinion. He may not want to go to Chelsea and would only leave Barca for us.

Personally, I won't be surprised if he ends up signing a new improved deal with them. If, however, we did pass up a chance to sign him for £30m I'd be truly gutted. You could get an Adam Lallana for the same price with only one years experience for the same money!
 
Arsenal don't have to show any interest in Cesc atm. They can just wait and sign him if another club in the UK goes for him. I'd take Lukaku :) He's a quality player & really looks the part. Prising him off Chelsea will be difficult tho.

So would I but Han is right, no way Chelsea would sell to us, they are too smart.

These clubs are now starting to have to learn to follow the same rules as the rest of us.Chelsea are now in the position of having to sell before they spend as is shown with Mata & Luiz.
