Damn that clause is not as good as I first hoped in favour of Arsenal! Whilst you have first refusal; it will cost you 30mil. I was hoping that the clause meant that if for example somebody offered 40mil, you guys could offer 21mil or so and waive the 50% sell on!!! Oh well, at least you do have first refusal. Also any 50% sell on is only above 35mil anyway, so you stand to get pretty much naff all if he goes to a rival? I would get him back for sure. Arteta and Rosicky have 1 0r 2 seasons left, Diaby is completely lame like a horse, Wilshire still needs a long run of games to get himself up to form and speed and realizing his potential. You always have injuries to key players, he will improve the mental strength and big game mentality in the squad instantly......and has others quite rightly point out, you don't run the risk that he will improve a rival. If the rumours that Remy is signed are correct, add Eto and that's is sorted until a Benzema or Morata become available at the right price.
Aurier has been claiming for weeks he's going to Arsenal, and yet we've had no info from agents, inside sources, etc as is the norm. Very strange that...
Absolutely outrageous to put such a clause in place. Disgusting and completely screws over the buying club. Now... where are we on Vela joining us for £3m?
Seems seeing as we've hit June now the transfer rumours are allowed to hit the twatosphere! Today I've seen Cesc to Arsenal, Cesc to Chelsea, Cesc to Citeh and Cesc wrangling for an improved contract. And that's just Cesc rumours! Cesc.. Cesc...

According to Guillem Balague,Arsenal don't want Fabregas back and have told him so. Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague · 15m 3. Arsenal dont want Cesc back and he has been told that already by Arsenal
Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague · 16m 1. He has not agreed anything with Chelsea. His agent did not meet Wenger lately (havent spoken for a month)
I hope that if the club do not want to buy Fabregas back they must have some other big deals lined up Is it too much to ask for?
Graham Hunter @BumperGraham · 1m I'm in Brazil now for WC prep but if Miguel Rico of Mundo Deportivo says that #Chelsea & FCB are close to a deal on #Cesc it'll be sound
I think it is silly season with the rumors. Here is my take on them. 1. Fabregas - Remember that the Spanish press are pro-Spain. If Barcelona sell Fabregas and they only get 30M Euros for him that would be a fairly humbling deal. None of the pro-Spanish press are going to want to believe that until it happens. I don't know if Wenger wants Fabregas, but it seems unlikely to me that he would pass on a 30M Euros deal for a player of his class. I think it is far more likely that Fabregas is not going to decide anything until he has talked to the new Barcelona coach and the World Cup is over. In any case Barcelona probably have to make a deal with someone else, BEFORE Arsenal's clause kicks in, so all the wheeling and dealing with other clubs is going to happen. Arsenal will make the decision based on the amount of money they would get if they pass on taking him. If Fabregas goes somewhere else, it is unlikely to be early in the window. He wants Arsenal and will give them every possible chance to sign him. 2. Aurier - I think there may be a lot of haggling to do on this one, but it is a done deal. His club know that Arsenal need him this year (we don't have the option of saying, "Oh well we will pick him up for free when his contract expires") and Aurier wants the deal so they will be trying to extract as much money as possible, but in the end it will happen. 3. Morata - Again, a lot of haggling to be done. This one may fall through and it may not, but Arsenal are very unlikely to buy with the hinted at buy back clause. Again The Spanish press want to believe in English clubs buying players from Spanish clubs for the most humiliating terms possible. 4. Remy - This is a deal the English press want Arsenal to make, possibly because they are so worried that we will sign a "bigger" star. We may pick him up as depth, but I just can't see him being a first choice striker for Arsenal. Wishful thinking on the part of other team's fans. 5. Vela - Arsenal will do some kind of deal here. Whether they sign Vela, or anther player from the club in return for not taking Vela, or whether they just take cash, something will happen. It is up to Real Sociadad, if they cant make a deal with Arsenal, the default will be that Vela comes to Arsenal.
If Cesc moves to anyone but Arsenal in the PL I'll be gutted. Yes he left before, but that was for his boyhood club. I'd love him back.
I would be upset too, but, at this stage I don't think any of the reports mean anything. I don't think Arsenal are going to pay 30M Euros if Barcelona can't get anyone else to pay that, and we very possibly don't want to be the ones to force the move, so we wait until someone else offers for him and if it is accepted by Barcelona, we step in and hijack the deal.
