West Ham rumoured to be interested and Newcastle made an approach earlier in the window - so possibly one of those. But he says he doesnt want to go if it isnt to a CL club. Which leaves us as his desired destination but whether it'll happen or not is a different story.

Sid Lowe saying on 5 Live that a lot of Madrid fans are not happy about Ozil being sold

They were singing 'He's not for sale' during the Bale unveiling.

We have stolen an absolute gem from Real in Ozil <ok>

those who were slagging him of in this window need to take a step back and eat a massive piece of humble pie, it is a brilliant signing and has made the wait more than worth while.

Hold on Piskie, we've signed one world class player, a free agent DF who walked out on the club 5 years ago (his second contentious exit from a club) and a back up keeper on loan.
I still think we're short of defensive quality (ideally full back who can move into CB) and a top CF - just because Giroud is on fire doesn't mean he's suddenly our Suarez/Higuain.
I said I'd judge AW after 11pm tonight - what he;s done today is pulled off a massive coup for the club and I'm as delighted as anyone, but given our injury situation I still couldn't claim this window to be a total success as we stand at 7.50pm.
I really do worry about our full back cover because I'm not convinced Gibbs or Jenkinson are good enough anyway and one of them is guaranteed to play...

Tbf, Real Madrid fans are the worse, in fact, they are the most spoiled just ahead of Man Utd fans. They actually voted Modric their worst signing ever and they even booed Benzema at one point during the game. Most of them are classless just like their president. So glad we've nicked Ozil.

Yeah fair enough, maybe I'm getting a bit carried away.

Ozil is a top top quality player though. And overall, we've signed a GK which we were asking for, a DM who can also play in defence and a striker, we might not be finished yet either.

But I do accept that some of the criticism was warranted, up until today it was a bit of a shambles.

I agree with Grizzly here think we needed 4-5 players today to complete the squad 1-2 needed to be top class the others needed to be good players. I am delighted we are getting Ozil (and appreciate this deal only/could only happen after Bale so no issues with timing - but whats the excuse in not signing the other 4 players we needed earlier).

Seeing as it is half twelve I am going to bed, if I wake up to Arsenal signing

A GK - done
A CB/RB - Not happening - or at least we haven't been linked to one all day
A AM - Ozil - YEAHHHH!!!
A WF - Not happening - or at least we haven't been linked to one all day
A ST - Ba is the only apparent option and that may not happen.

Then I will happily eat a slice of humble pie, only a slice mind you as bar Ozil all the other deals should have happened weeks ago.

What if we play Monreal & Sagna ?

Honestly, this is the biggest load of bollocks I have read from you in a long line of utter bollocks. Ozil is probably the third most sought after player in the world after Messi and Ronaldo. If signing him doesn't make you happy, then there is NEVER any hope you will be satisfied.

Still running down the signing of Flamini after he put in one hell of a shift yesterday. Really sorry for you, seek help with your problem.
