Apparently any medical with Ozil will take place in Germany as the player has now linked up with the German national side for WC qualifiers.
 
Bendtner had his moments but his ego got in the way of him ever really making it to the top. Good luck to him and Chamakh fighting for a place at Palace :P

He's the last of the deadwood, so as long as we bring the right players in we don't have any crappy fringe players sitting in the squad.

No contest between Wenger and Moyes. Only thing is for us to persuade players of our ambitions. Playing under Wenger would be desirable to most of the players in the world.
 
Still a lot of talk that Ozil wants to stay at Madrid. I hope we're looking at alternatives as well, preferably not Drax for £40m

Even if Ozilwants to stay, if Madrid make it clear they want him out and we make a good enough case then we can get the deal done.

I really hopewe get Ozil, phenomenal player.

Apparently Benzemas agent has come out and said he isn't going anywhere. Maybe a late move for Suarez or Rooney is still on the table? I'm really interested to see which striker we go for. Ba might be a realistic option.

Oh and apparently Mata has been given permission to talk to other clubs but Chelsea would be reluctant to let him go to a EPL rival.

Striker seems like a less likely thing now. Problem is Benzema is the only properly recognised striker left for Real and the other two are difficult targets. Not many pickings out there for strikers.

Ba is an option for us. Not sure if Chelsea would get rid. Still many twists and turns to go today, I feel. I think we'll get at least 3 players in. My opinion.

In an ideal world, by the end of the day Ozil, Di Maria, Viviano and a striker will all be Arsenal players.

If we get anything like this sort of business done today then we will have out-done all of our rivals this window.

I'm fine with that, i just think Sczc needs to be kept on his toes and know there is competition for his spot, it shows we are seriously considering other options which will make him work hard. As it's only for cover i'm happy with a loan or transfer move for a keeper.

It's the other guys we are linked with that im desperate to be permanent signings :P

p.s. the Ozil deal is rumoured to be a 5-6 year contract!
