Ramsey was a superb player before his leg was shattered. Since then he has been working his way back slowly but surely. For example, he completed more passes than any other one player in the PL this weekend (So far).

He probably was mate, we had Ben Arfa getting the same sort of injury, it must the damage the confidence tremendously. You also had it with Eduardo

It takes a long time for players to recover I think, sometimes years. Sure he has had his share of bad performances over the years. He's a hard worker though which counts for a lot.

Not really a fan of Cabaye. He's a dirty ****er and only slightly better than Ramsey. Ramsey will be miles better than him in a few years time.

I'd have preferred Gustavo, Fellaini, and Bender over Cabaye, but would still take Cabaye, but he's basically the 4th back up option amongst the targets for midfield.

He adds to the squad depth and that's what we need. Like I said earlier, I'm not over the moon about it, but if it happens I won't complain. There are better options.

It just worries me that we have done so well in getting rid of a load of deadwood, are we now in danger of getting more in?? Posted a link earlier to an article in today's I. Would rather go for players who will make a difference as opposed to being another Squillaci, Park et al.

Squad depth doesn't mean having depth for the sake of it, it means having QUALITY, we had major squad depth before, but the likes of Arhsavin, Squilachi, Chamakh, Santos etc while providing 'depth', weren't exactly what we needed. So it's about getting quality world class depth, not just any depth.

I don't think we have much choice sadly. I know what you mean however.

Some noises that our second bid of £16m has been accepted by Newcastle for Cabaye.
A player who would definitely add some talent to the squad but also a player who we would probably have got for alot less 3 months ago, a player who also will not help take us to next level IMO

Interesting that he is not playing tonight, getting his head right apparently.

Ah, we truly are a laughing stock. Can't say I'm surprised. I knew this summer was going to be full of 'we tried' and 'our bid wasn't accepted'. LOL. I knew from the beginning these bids were just illusions to make it seem like Arsenal were going to spend big. Pretty much everyone has been had. Enjoy the circus that is Arsenal. So glad I didn't renew my season ticket.

Cabaye travelled with #nufc squad to Manchester but returned home as not in right frame of mind after Sunday's £10m #afc bid

It's not like we are going to be spoilt for choice, is it? With our players, an injury is not far away. In fact, as we seen, Arteta is already out for six weeks, so if we get him now, he would slot in alongside Ramsey.
