So if things go our way we'll selk Gervinho bring in Bernard and Suarez and hopefully get a DM (if not tge Ramsey-Arteta combo can hold)
I don't think GK is a priority anymore Chez seems to have cleared his head and Flappy can come in for short stints if Chez is injured or needs resting

Suarez to tell Rodgers he wants Arsenal talks. He thinks clause allows it. #Afc await outcome before proceeding: http://bbc.in/18BhAkV #lfc

We have to play the waiting game, now. The bid was designed to unsettle him further and cause conflict between player and club, which is why Liverpool have reacted so angrily to it. Suarez and Liverpool both have different interpretations of the clause.

If there's a legal dispute between Liverpool and his people over the clause, then he has leverage to force a move.

Good news for us. It was also hilarious seeing the Scousers breakdowns

I really don't see what there is to get angry at Arsenal about, we made offer for a player for what he's worth. Not like we were tapping up or anything..

I suspect we're going to end up regretting not paying the extra for Higuain

I think it's something to be positive about. If Suarez wants to come then he could end up forcing the move. Suarez is too good not to be playing Champions LEague football and with Arsenal he will be able to do that. Liverpool will take a few years before they are good enough to challenge for a Champs league place, something Suarez can't afford to do.

True. I'd be a bit morr emphatic for the Scousers but the ones I know are ****s so I'm just being an ass. That being said if we get him Pool could use the money to pip Spuds for Soldado

Main concern is over attitude. Is it worth sacrificing years of building up our reputation just to throw it away for the sake of one player? I think though that Wenger has experience of difficult players. RVP, Adams, Wrighty, etc etc... If we can tame his attitude he will be wc for us.

I have a feeling that Wenger will be able to sort him out. If that fails, we'll put a muzzle on him.

Spurs fan in peace...

Just read you lot have bid £40,000,001 for Suarez which has been rejected. It seems the tracksuit wearing, Jeremy Kyle watching scousers want more so I wanted to ask, do you guys think this would be a good deal for the club (value etc.) and do you actually want him because he comes with certain risks attached?
We really don't need a Spurs fan trying to stir things up with pathetic stereotypes about people

OK I watched Liverpool's friendly, Suarez came on in the 72nd minute. He blanked BR when he was on the touch line, when he was on the pitch he barely ran an inch, no chasing players down like he usually does, was also playing very deep/out wide rather than trying to score a goal. In the 92nd minute he did a lovely piece of skill leading to a goal, instead of celebrating he looked miserable and didn't want to celebrate with his team mates. He wants OUT and he is going to kick up a fuss about it.

You're funny. <laugh>

FFS, every ****ing thread <doh>

Edit: I'm guessing someone moved the comment as I was replying because I didn't post my comment here <doh>

Enjoying all of the Cavani comments about him being better than Suarez, especially from people who have probably not seen him play 90 minutes of football, just because they do not like Suarez<laugh>

they'll never admit it but its the truth!

I've seen plenty of Cavani, and plenty of Suarez. What I often find is that the people (Liverpool fans) who disagree only use their performances for Uraguay as a platform to judge their abilities, because that is the only time they see Cavani play. If you watch him at club level, which I have numerous times, then you would understand why Cavani is the superior player.

I like Suarez, always have, I think he's an absolutely immense player. I hate his behaviour, but you can't deny his talent. Cavani is better though.

Do you always talk such nonsense. Liverpool have no such issues with Arsenal fans and we had Suarez last season and you finished a couple of places above Liverpool. We're not bothered, we are rebuilding our team and not even thinking of Arsenal and why they'll finish above us in the league. You sir are talking out your backside

You also seem to be an expert on Cavani and Suarez having seen **** all of both of them playing last season, now queue the lies about how you've been watching them both week in week out<ok>

I can guarantee that huge portions of the YNWA brigade will be hurling their own feces at everything and anything come the end of the season after they finish several miles outside of the Champions League places.

You have no grounds to state that claim.

Suarez has scored more goals at club and international level than cavani. He creates a lot more too.
If Arsenal apparently have £100m to spend (bullshit), then you have no problem paying a similar price. Failing with the pound extra bid is funny, did your management just read the papers??

This is always inevitable, stupid statistics that prove nothing. Cavani has spent nearly the entirety of his career in a defensively astute league, in 3 years of which he played as a LW, until he moved to Napoli in 2010. Suarez was in the Dutch league, a league where players like Afonso Alves scored 45 goals in 39 appearances. SO that throws your stupid statistics out of the way; so really all you are saying is that Suarez is a more creative player. That's debatable, Cavani adds a lot more to team play than Suarez does, but granted, Suarez does have a lot more assists, but other than that there's much else you could argue in Suarez' favour. Cavani is the better athlete, quicker, stronger, more dominant, incredible stamina, he's the better goalscorer and finisher, Suarez seems to need a lot of chances before he scores, Cavani is a lot more clinical. He's better in the air and he's a better passer of the ball too.

As usual a confused Schofield! Arsenal just look stupid. Nice tweet from Henry. Madrid now know that if they do want to bid for Suarez then they will not be taken seriously unless the bid is closer to £60m than £40.

You will never in a million years get £60 million for Suarez. You'll be lucky if you get over £45 million.

Just like Arsenal gifted Utd the League by selling them RVP, you mean.

Stones and glasshouses, eh :emoticon-0116-evilg

The differences is, I knew that we weren't going to compete for the title, unlike Liverpool fans who think 4th spot is theirs to lose, you still have to get above Everton and Tottenham before you even think about Arsenal. This upcoming season, the gap will become even bigger.
