No, really, he is cack. Brazillian defences are about as effective at stopping players as a sheet of A4 paper is at stopping an F1 car. Whenever he plays against a real team, he looks well below average. I maintain that Lucas Moura is far better than him.

Moura did **** all in Brazil compared to Neymar.

Neymar won the Copa Libertadores with Santos and in that competition he came up against teams who could defend and he tore them to pieces. Moura never ripped up the Brazilian league like Neymar has done. Also, the Brazilian league has got a lot better recently.

He was playing for Santos, a team that is far weaker than PSG. Also, the Barca side that Neymar faced was stronger than the one Moura came up against.

Where he would have to play second fiddle to Ronaldo. I think he needs to be in a team that is going to be built around him. I think he would have been perfect for Manchester United, but I do not think he fancies a move to England.

I was listening to Tim Vickery on 5Live earlier this morning and he seems to think Neymar will move as the consortium that owns 40+ % of him will not want to take the risk of him running his contract down and leave Santos for nothing.
 
Wenger once stated that if he could sign one player regardless of cost, it would be Neymar.

You have to be insaine to think he's a poor player. In terms of technical ability one of the best 2-3 players in the World.
 
My sources tell me we are closing in on the signing of Simon Mignolet. I like the sounds of that a lot. Quality keeper.
 
And on a crazy note, apparently we were linked with Kaizer Chiefs (SA Premier League) goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune in January as well. Somehow I don't think that would have worked out very well... <laugh>
 
Apparently we have bid for Juventus midfielfder Paul Pogba. Would be a quality signing the guy is a physical beast.(this is the THIRD time Wenger has tried to sign him)


Also Mignolet rumours are gaining momentum.
 
Funny Neymar was given Thiago's shirt number at Barcelona. Rumours of him being linked with us or Man Utd. Can't see it happening but his release clause is only 15m or something.

Both are very unlikely to be true. Neither are known to be interested in a move, and neither has a contract that is ending. Mignolet is not certain to be first choice keeper at Arsenal, so why would he move? He isn't first choice for Belgium even!

Honestly, Szczesny is not that bad. For goodness sake people. We are not going to sign a mediocre keeper, or some aging reject to step in front of perhaps the most promising young keeper in the world. He had a blip, and still didn't make bigger, or more mistakes than De Gea, Hart or Cech this year.

There is no indication that Wenger is not happy with the man that only let in two goals in our last 5 games. Chances are we are looking for a backup keeper, not a new #1.
