He's only 17 though.People moan about Denilson but when we bought him wasn't he thought of as one of the best Brazilians in the World Youth Cup ?Wasn't is the same with Carlos Vela playing for Mexico ?Shaw looks a genuine talent.

I'd love £10 for every young kid i've seen made an impact in their first season but done absoloutely **** all after and then dispeared into obscurity. There's a difference. They played in different leagues, and had difficulty adjusting. Shaw looks a premier league player, he wouldn't need to adjust.
If we were to buy Shaw, some fans would be moaning about us buying a 17 year old with potential. It the same with Zaha,if we'd spent £15 on him some fans would be saying it'a a rediculous amount to spend on a second division player

Are you saying also that we should never buy foreign players such as Villa,M'Vila and countless other names i've seen posted on this thread ?

How do you know they wont have problems adjusting to the PL though >There's another difference. These guys (Villa, M'Vila) are proven, Vela and Denilson weren't. As they're older, they're probably mentally tougher than young players.

For every Rooney,Shaw,Wilshere,Gerrard & co there is a Danny Cadamateri <sic> and countless others.Luke Shaw may well go on to be a world class LB but he may also amount to nothingYou can't name that many 17 years old who can come in and make such an impact for their club in the PL. He is also so consistent. It's easy to spot the top young players who you know are going to be world class players. The likes of Rooney,Wilshere,Gerrard and co. IMO, Shaw is one of those.

It will be intersting to see how the lad developesWe shall see.

They will watch him play once in an Arsenal shirt and shut up. Shaw is going right to the top. I really, really hope that we can and try and get him in the summer.
We certainly need cover for Gibbs.A new LB is hardly a priority. Maybe if the rest of our squad was perfect then it'd make sense for us to go for a 17 year old with potential.

The Mirror is reporting that Stoke want Jenkinson on loan

Shaw will end up at Utd. Not sure theres any point loaning Jenkinson to Stoke so he can sit on their bench instead of ours
