He would certainly be worth a bid.The only problem with him is him susposedly being a disruptive influence.
It looks like the Indy have also picked up on the Biglia rumour.

He would clearly prefer England over Turkey. Seriously, he's absolutely worth it. He's fit, he's not played so he's fresh, he's awesome, and he'd be cheap!!
He would also be an absolutely stellar signing.

He has had his problems. After the world cup he had a huge loss of form and was dropped from both the Inter team and the dutch team. He has never demonstrated that he has regained it. Unfortunately, he also has a huge ego. So, although we do not know for sure, the story is that he is demanding wages of over 200K/week even though he is only earning 100K/week, or so now.

Of course things may change, but the story is that the wages he is demanding are high, and that he is pure poison to a club. His bust up with RVP is part of that.

cheap in terms of cost, not in wages.

inter gave him a much reduced wage offer and said if he doesn't accept they will stick him on the bench. he declined, because he's happy with the money.

we would have to match or come close to his current offer, which i believe is around £5million per year, plus an £800,000 bonus every year. we cannot compete with that at our current wage structure.

The closer it gets to the deadline the more Milan will want to sell to get him off the wage bill & the more Sjneider will want to move as he faces the prospect of not playing competitive football again until August - and that's a long way away!

I'd smash in a 5m bid to Milan & see what they say. The wages they'll pay him if he doesn't move mean it's really worth another 3m. And for Arsenal, it's a steal. One of the best MF in the world for a paltry sum.

Surely it's worth a shot?

He certainly WAS one of the best midfielders in the world. But who are you going to drop for him? Arteta, Cazorla or Jack? He is absolutely going to demand first team football.

Wenger never takes risks or makes bold moves in the transfer market. We will be lumbered with depressingly disappointing signings this January, if any are made at all. **** Wenger and the board.
 
Not gonna happen.

As an Arsenal fan I always get sucked in with all this transfer gossip, In the hope Wenger will give us what we actually need.

In all probability we are all going to end up being disappointed. Our manager hates spending and our club loves selling.
It's not a recipe for success.
 
It's amazing really, Barca have taken 2 of our best players in recent times one who is a legend and the other who we nurtured into the great midfielder he is today and yet we can't even get a look in to buy a player who had a broken leg, is nearing the end of his career and spends most of the time on their bench these days.

They are in the business of winning trophies. They are still in three competitions and they know that they need their squad if they are to win another treble, which means keeping Villa. We might get him in the summer, though.

Well transfer we could do as it is a buyout clause, wages if the other 2 aren't interested then I reckon we could get him on a 100k or less isnt he on 50k odd with Everton. Besides we won't know till we throw our hat in the ring no matter who is interested
