I've said on numerous occasions if it's not Arsenal i'm not that interested in watching football and i very rarely watch foreign teams. The only time i do is during tournaments.
He's not joining us anyway. apparently his wife is having a baby, and he wants to stay in Spain for it. Typical inconsiderate kids....
Another player i haven't got a ****ing clue about http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/0...ack-who-may-be-first-january-gunners-signing/
I thought he was a RB. Don't we already have a world class Rb and a very promising RB? We need a left back. If we're after italian based fullbacks, i'd have a look at Federico Balzaretti. Experienced, cheap (wenger would be happy), and more importantly, pretty damn good. Wanted Pablo Armero, but Napoli signed him.
Might as well add him to the long list of **** players we have been linked with in this transfer window.
By all accounts, Gibbs was very good against Swansea, and hopefully that goal will give him some confidence. Although, I am not against trying to sign young Luke Shaw if we can get him. Unlike Zaha, he did impress.
He was good going forward (as usual), but awful positionally (as usual). He'd be a handy winger, if Theo goes and we don't replace him. Sign a LB and shunt Gibbs forward.
In the transfer window Wengers main priority is to find something which he can mould then sell on at a higher price. The rougher the diamond or cubit zirconia (as is the case some times) the better it looks when you shine it. 10 mill for Villa is actually risky as SJW said but it's not like we don't have experience in helpinglsyers get their form back from those kind of injuries and if there is a player I'd be willing to take the risk on given the options available, it's Villa. The most important aspect about him apart from the fact he is without a doubt world class is that he possesses a winning mentality and if there is one player who might be able to spark that into the squad I'm all ****ing for it.
Apparetly times is saying Fellani has a 22mn buy out Clause (first one on BBC gossip page ) sign him up please. His wages should be under 100k and he would be a brilliant option seeing as we could play him dm/cm/am/str and gives us steel in the middle plus one more for the ****e hair collection we have (replace Chamackh). Him and Nani for this window would still be my favs (if we sign Theo) otherwise a CF.
Being cup tied doesn't matter at all at this stage. Sissoko rumoured to be available for 1.6 - 2.4 m according to the BBC Gossip due to his injury problems (yay!). Not sold on him or M'Vila's attitude. Biglia is available for 6 - 8m, but people don't seem keen on him either!!
I like Biglia. I've watched him a couple of times (for Argentina and Andelecht), he's simular in style to Flamini or Parker. Not the biggest DM but he is hardworking and has a good range of passing. Sissoko is a good option but he's more of a box to box player. Strootman, he's a big lump with a great range of passing. More of a playmaker than a 'destroyer' though. Despite his physique. M'Vila is still my favourite option. Liability or not he has the talent to be 'World Class'. To be honest though any of those four would improve our squad.
Biglia's size worries me a bit - Arsenal are a short team, a big, imposing DM could make a big difference. That's why Diaby is so useful when he's fit. Sissoko seems to have injury problems, hence why he's available so cheap. Strootman I don't know much about, he's a Dutch international and seems to be making regular appearances for PSV. M'Vila has the best potential. He's young, he's tall, he's strong. If he can be "tamed" he could be awesome. Is he worth taking a risk on if Wenger could nab him for 6m?
I would say anything under £12 Million is a bargain for M'Vila. Dont forget a year and a half ago he was linked with a £30 Million move to Barca.
According to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20939734 Sneijder is on 4.8m a year plus an 800k bonus. To me, that works out at under 110k/wk. Is he worth a bid if he'll accept a modest pay increase to 120k? Milan need to get rid of him, and he'll be available for free in summer if he's not played in 10% of their games by then, but by that point he won't have played for MONTHS. Would he be worth a cheeky 5m bid? Surely they'd rather get 5m than lose him for free having paid his wages right up until summer?
