Good signing for you guys. You need someone decent in that CM to break up play, good first choice with coquelin as back up.
I can't believe the club allowed that leak somehow. I mean Arsenal is usually good about keeping things hush hush. But allowing someone to snap a picture of the new home kit and on a player we have yet to "sign" officially (announcement wise) is mad.

What it does show is a more no nonsense approach, which would be welcome to all But this guy must have some serious quality if Wenger's gone all out to get this guy so early on at such a large transfer fee. He is still young and relatively unknown on the world scene.
Xhaka made the Bundesliga team of the Season. Picked ahead of the likes of Bender, Xavi Alonso, Gundogan etc.. http://www.sofascore.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Bundesliga-TOTS-2.png
WTF is going on? Wenger actually seems to be chasing the right players this window. Reports are that we have made an enquiry about Medhi Benatia at Bayern Munich. Would be an excellent signing IMO. Very solid defender.
I thought that sounds like an excellent target for us, but I read he's apparently suffered badly with injuries while at Bayern - so might not be the best player for us to sign. Could be another Rosicky/Diaby/WIlshere/Eduardo player!
I feel the same, I'm not enthused by this signing (I could well be proven wrong) but his stats aren't great, especially when you compare his stats to Ibra's and Lukaku's - both of which are available and possibly signing for our rivals. I think if we get Morata we definitely need Mkhitaryan or another attacking midfielder to ensure we've got another goal threat in the team. Ideally I'd like us to go for Lukaku and Mkhitaryan - I think it would make us a very dangerous team and Giroud would be the perfect back up for Lukaku. The only issue is that it would push both Ramsey and Wilshere out of the team...
Wenger rarely buys the finished article when it comes to strikers. But his track record is impressive.. Anelka - Played at Chelsea, PSG, City and Real Madrid but best years are still under Wenger. Henry - Started out as a winger, converted into arguably the best CF the EPL has ever seen. RVP - Another Winger with a fairly poor goalscoring record developed into a World Class CF. Adebayor - How the Hell did Wenger get that guy scoring 30 goals in a Season? When it comes to CF's Wenger is good- in fact excellent at improving them. Giroud just doesn't have the ability to do much more than he has been doing. Morata on the other hand is big, quick and good with both feet. He does seem to have all the attributes need to be a goalscorer. My main concern with Morata is that Spanish players can often struggle with the physical nature of the EPL..but Morata is 6'3 and 90kgs so he should be fine.
Interestingly we are being linked to Napoli's 'Kalidou Koulibaly'. I haven't watched much Italian football in recent years but he's a big aggressive CB. (6'5, 95kgs are looks scary as **** - I'm already sold.) We need a Big Tall defender to replace the ageing Mertesacker.
Apparently we've signed Maxi Romero a Argentinian wonderkid striker after he got injured last season just before we were going to sign him. He's 17 years old but we've agreed for him to stay in Argentina with Velez Sarsfield for 2 seasons to develop.
There's a few defenders that have been linked to us which is good. And as you say, we will need a tall guy to replace Merts. Hopefully we'll get a transfer sorted before the European Championships start
Sound like he had a good combination of attributes. Sometimes a player needs a proper home to flourish and under us he should get the chance. As for the big scary defender, let's hope we get someone like him in. We've missed the Adams/Keown type at the back.
Looks like a decent talent to be fair. It's amazing how Argentina keeps churning out theses quality attacking young players.
Morata is a typical case of sense over stats. Morata has all the tools. I think his playing style suits the premier league. Funny thing is while he was at Madrid I didn't see anything special. But watching him at Juve got me turned on to him. He plays with intensity and seems to enjoy the rough and tumble. He just needs to improve his finishing. He's definitely worth bringing in. He's a bit like a Welbeck with better hold up play. The goals will come
It is isn't it - I just hope he turns out as well as some of Argentina's other attackers (though maybe not as hungry!)
