Also reports quoting Podolski as saying it was a mistake to go to Inter, and that Arsenal are the team who suit his style the best. As such he want's to stay and fight for his place.

I don't know about us suiting his style, ours is dependant on our FBs attacking/overlapping a lot, which requires the LW/LWF to track back, work on defence. Also he always seems best as the 2nd striker, which we don't play.

I think Podolski's days with Arsenal are well and truly numbered

Great news about Cech, at least that one is in the bad now. Its a shame about Schlenderlin, not sure that Manure needed him with their current crop of players. I do hope we get a DM but things are drying up on that regard...

He really needs to go if he wants to play competitive football again. He would be lucky to get a handful of games for us. He is one man that is excess to requirements.

I agree. With a lot of players wanting to get a starting spot, it would really be tough for him to play in a lot of games. His 'career resurrection' might happen... elsewhere.

IF Man U sign him then I suppose he would be typical of all of Van Gaals signings - spending lots of money on players in similar positions to what they already have, without addressing the necessary weaknesses.

Last year he signed 3 LBs/Left sided defenders (Shaw, Rojo, Blind), a striker and huge money when he already had loads, an attacking midfielder, when he had loads. When what he was crying out for was a RB and a CB!

If he now signs Schneiderlein when he has Carrick, Fellani, Herrera, Blind to do a similar job, while he also plays Rooney there as well is crazy.

I agree, he is a strange one when it comes to transfers, but who cares i guess as long as we strengthen in areas we need.
