Sanchez is top quality but he isn't going to carry our entire attack. The problem is and has always been having a top quality CF. As much as we like Giroud, we need someone to break into 20+ goals and pull off something special. He did really well last year but we need someone to do even better to get us closer. We also have a big problem with a constantly injured Walcott. To get those goals ticking over, we need for him to be fit and firing. Putting all the responsibility on new boy Sanchez and a green Campbell and Sanogo is risky to say the least. We need at least Campbell or Sanogo to score 10+ goals. Sanchez will start firing soon but it would be a stretch to expect him to score 20+ goals. Only player who could realistically get 20+ is Walcott, and we know how injury prone he is.
Totally agree. We have cried out for a midfield enforcer and a world class striker for the last few seasons. If you look at the other top teams they all have several class strikers.
Chelsea don't. They have Costa, Torres (who wants out and is sh*te these days) and old man Drogba. They, like us, are an injury away from a piss poor front line. Happily for them the rest of their line up is rock solid but it's not just us.

Ahh I see. Though hopefully (if all fit) with Giroud not needing to play every game, and with more pace and goal threat in the team, then we should score more goals - and hopefully Walcott, Ramsey and Giroud should score more as well. (Though 1st we need to actually start passing the ball and stop playing like a League 1 side!)
That's why for me Walcott will be a big player for us this season. I am confident that a fit and firing Walcott can score 15+ goals in a season. But other players really need to chip in, namely Campbell, Sanogo, OXO and Pod. Giroud, Sanchez, Ramsey and Walcott will be more regularly scoring for us.
It's getting ridiculous now. Everyone can see Arsenal have needed a quality striker for a very long time, seemingly except Wenger. Now Giroud is injured, and he still can't see it. This is the very definition of "blind faith."
