Zaha is likely to cost upwards of £15m. That money would be much better spent on more experienced players.
Im surprised there are still people that take any notice of what he says. He is full of cr@p . havent you worked that out yet ?
To miss a signing, you miss out on signing a player. It's not just players you've bid for - that's being outbid.
By that logic though, you could claim that Arsenal, along with every other club miss out on signing a whole host of players, at every window.
On top of that, if Zaha had signed many fans would have complained that Wenger was wasting time buying youth players.
To be honest we're making assumptions on players we are susposedly after because of media speculation
Yep, so far it looks like they're after absolutely no-one. Either that, or they're offering too little, or players are consistently picking other clubs. Whichever option it is, it isn't good.
I think we need to sign a couple of players, that's not in dispute. But it has to be the right players. I don't think people should allow themselves to get so caught up in every transfer and then be upset when Arsenal don't sign them.
Or the clubs are unwilling to sell. Or they are asking for too much. Or the player is asking for too much. Or the negotiation process takes much longer than any of us realise. The answer to these things doesn't always have to be crushingly negative.
Up to now there has been very little transfer activity by any team in the PL except for Ba to Chelsea and Pardew buying foreigners (that he thinks shouldn't be playing in the PL).West Ham have loaned a few players and 'arry or maybe Rosie 47 are like kids in a sweetshop at QPR.
My apologies, I was referring only to those players that have moved already during the window, so we know the club would sell, and the negotiation process was possible already.
Any DM would do, providing it isn't Biglia. But it wouldn't surprise me if Wenger signed another CAM, as that's all he ever seems to buy. We're getting linked to Yoann Gourcuff, and that's really not the sort of transfer that will get us CL football.
Wanyama scored again earlier - a header from a cross after a short corner. He hit the bar with another header a few minutes later.
There is not a hope in hell of Celtic selling him when they are still in the CL, plus he is on the verge of signing a new contract, probably so Celtic can maximise his value and sell in 18 month, lennon has already said he is worth 20 million, while he is probably just covering his bases, we won't be getting him cheap like some people seem to think. My brother is a celtic fan and said SAF was at parkhead tonight and he was there to watch wanyama
