I only follow current and certain ex players.I stopped following Fabregas,Nasri and Van Persie as soon as they walked out on the club.
I agree about Van Persie and Nasri, but Cesc has only ever been complimentary about us and only left for his boyhood club.
I know I'm in a minority but I've given my view on Cesc Fabregas many times on this board.Him making complimentary posts on Twitter isn't going to change my mind.
But it was more than that. It was going to his hometown club that he had supported all of his life, living near his family and friends he grew up with and playing for the manager who was his boyhood idol. It would have been like you playing football with....erm....sorry, I dont know any welsh players from that long ago.
As I've already said my view of Cesc Fabregas is well known so there is nothing more for me to add. The first Welsh players I have memories of would be the likes of Gary Sprake,Ron & Wyn Davies,Mike England,Peter Rodriguez etc
I can fully understand fabregas leaving and think he has done everything he can to keep good relations with the club and fans. He clearly still follows arsenal and wants us to do well. If the opportunity to sign him arose I would hope that the club jump at the chance. Fabregas is world class. He can play anywhere in midfield or along the front 3. Whenever I see him play it is obvious that he is on a different level to most football players. The opportunity to see him and ozil in the same team is mouth watering. He is one of those players that lifts your team to another level regardless of who you have in your squad.
Love Fabregas as a player, but we really do not need him any more. We need a proper CF first and foremost. Also if we are going to buy players from Barca, then I would take one of Pedro,Tello or Sanchez. Quick wide players who have an eye for goal. We need more pace in our team.
It appears that Sanchez is up for sale. Juve seem to be favourites at the moment, but we can offer more money and the PL ****s on Serie A.
Daily Fail is linking us with Calum Chambers as a back-up to Sagna. Based on what I've seen of him it'd be a fantastic signing though, knowing Southampton, not cheap! I do feel sorry for them though. Every transfer window and they have 3/4 of their squad whored out to other teams by the media! Lallana, Shaw, Chambers, Clyne, Rodriguez and their CBs seem to be the flavor of the month at the moment. I hope for their sake they stand firm as they've the makings of a very decent side and would be a shame to see it picked apart. ...except by us
