I wouldn't start Wilshere or Arteta against those thugs Stoke next Sunday.

maybe we have all misjudged AW. maybe he isnt a miser or tight. maybe he has wanted to spend but hasn't been allowed to by the board, and he has been frustrated for all this time and now he has the money he will INVEST it wisely in some big signings.

Saw an article linking us to a £30m bid for Rooney in January to test how much Utd want to keep him.

Would be a great signing IMO. Different kind of striker to Giroud and of the calibre we need.

Can't see Rooney coming to us, but Suarez would be a better bet if Real don't put their oar in. Suarez would make us a very dangerous team indeed.

Suarez and Rooney are both utter cnuts, but Suarez is a better player.

I would have either though, but if it were a choice Suarez everyday.

Stoke without Pulis are a slightly different animal.

Yeah, but they still has Huth and Shawcross, so we can certainly expect some more injuries to our players.

Plus Hughes is hardly known for playing good football nowadays.

I read the other day that Santi could return in 2 weeks, 28th September. We need him back as soon as possible. (PS. I know this isn't January transfer news but I don't know where else to post it).

Tottenham's Christian Eriksen: I'm no match for new Arsenal hero Mesut Ozil.. yet
    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tottenhams-christian-eriksen-im-no-2278287

Interesting article, especially when he highlights the quickness of the transfer from Spurs, headed by Baldini.

Eriksen has also revealed he signed for the White Hart Lane club after chairman Daniel Levy wrapped up negotiations within days.

He explained that Liverpool never followed up their initial interest in him and insisted it was “the big men” - Levy and Technical Director Franco Baldini - who showed that Spurs meant business.

Eriksen said: “I talked a little bit with the manager but I had more to do with the chairman and the director Baldini. They were they guys who really had the right words.

“It really impressed me that they wanted it so badly and wanted to do it so quickly.

“The first contact was with my agent and they talked and discussed all the things they normally do.

“Then afterwards my agent talked to me and I said, ‘Go on, I really want to hear what they have got to say’.

“The day after he was [in London] to look and see everything and talk with the big men, then the day after, they went to Amsterdam to negotiate with Ajax. The next day, Monday, I was here for a medical. It went really quick. Just four days.

“It just felt right. When I talked to my agent, it just felt right. The things they said. When it got to looking around it just felt even more right and it was pretty easy for me to say yes.”

I think we need a shakeup of our current management structure and get someone dynamic and well connected like Baldini. Wenger needs the right guy with him to make these things happen, Dein was the last guy that did that.

The funny thing about signing players is momentum can play a big part.

We signed Ozil and have started relatively well. If we can continue this form up until XMAS we will suddernly look ALOT more appealing to the Suarez's & Rooney's of this World.

The Ozil signing can get the ball rolling. The key is wether we are willing to spend more.

We do have the momentum now, but that's if we capitalise on it this Jan. I have a feel that we still have a good shot at getting Suarez if Real doesn't come sniffing. A phone call from Wenger directly to Suarez might do the trick....

Chelsea and Manchester United may be put on alert after 25-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski's agent claimed he has held talks with Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis about a move to the Italian club.

    Full story: Daily Express

If Lewandowski is willing to go to a team that isn't Bayern we need to go all out to sign him!

Not sure about the validity about this story as he's adamant in joining Bayern. However if it's true, then he's a potential target, only problem is he'll be cup tied.

If we could go for a top striker in January, and then get Khedira in the summer, or Khedira and a top strike in the summer, we are set! Ozil is one player I always wanted, but never thought we could get, so if him, why not Khedira?

Sure Lewandowski would win us the league IMO. He would be my first choice signing for Arsenal. (well after Messi, Ronaldo and for sentimental reasons Fabregas)

Just seems unlikely because he wants to play for the team he supports.. Bayern.

We need a striker(s) yes, but I personally don't see why we need to spend heavily on a striker in January if Giroud is playing this well. We just need a second fiddle to him and a player that can offer something different... I' ll mention a few.

    1. Adriano Lopez- Instinctive Finisher. He was probably the best signing across Europe last season when Athletic Madrid signed him for free and he rewarded them with 19 goals.
    2. Muriel.(Udinese)- A.K.A as the Colombian Ronaldo. Pacy, skillful and a very good finisher..
    3. Chicharito- I think this Lad would be perfect for arsenal with all the creative players in our midfield.. He's a fox in the box kind of player, good finisher, young and EPL
experienced..A Loan is a possibility although I doubt if Man Utd would let him join a rival.
    4. Loic Remy- A decent CF that can be better at arsenal.
