You better believe. As much as he makes fun of Wenger, he knows that he is still a good manager and can make a team that is dangerous. Why sell one of your top quality players to a manager that can get the most of him. If we have Mata, he would be even deadlier in our team than theirs.

I can't see Swansea selling him this late in the window.I suspose they may want to recoup some of the money they've spent and they're talking about expanding the Liberty so they'll need money for that

    Latest on Cabaye from BBC:

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew expects midfielder Yohan Cabaye to make his first appearance of the season against Fulham on Saturday.

The 27-year-old missed the Magpies' first two Barclays Premier League games and Wednesday night's Capital One Cup win over Morecambe amid interest from Arsenal.

But the Gunners are yet to return with a second offer for the Frenchman after their initial approach was rejected.

Pardew said on Thursday: "What I have said to Yohan Cabaye is I expect him to play this weekend. Until another bid comes in from Arsenal that is accepted or not that will be the situation."

I hope he acts in the right way and continues to play and not throws a strop. We will see if Arsene comes back for another bid, but unless we have something else lined up, a desperate second big may come in.

I'd be happy with us signing Michu, but I think we'd have to pay over the odds to get him. Not the marquee signing that Suarez would have been, but still would be a good quality addition.

Agreed! All good players but I would say that Mata, Oscar, Willian, Lampard and Schurrle would all like to play AMF.

Surely £30 Million on a striker would have been better than adding another AM?

Reckon 4 more would do it - Williams, Cabaye, Di maria, Michu

Would like - Papadopoulos, Fellani, Di Maria, Rooney.

I think we'll see one more signing, on Monday. Probably a name that hasn't been mentioned yet (or heard of)
