You may be right. Giroud is decent and I think Podolski has alot more to show. I have to say there seemingly alot more quality midfielders available. I would love to see us go back in and try to sign Lars Bender.

However the Rooney pans out I reckon it's been resolved for a while. I'm a big believer that so much goes on behind the scenes and in private that by the time rumours surface things are pretty much settled. For example there's too much Higuain talk for it not to have been true, sustained media talk for weeks, but it's widely known now that Madrid having agreed a sale price pulled out of that deal and upped their valuation of the player, so I guess it now comes down to the player/agent speaking with the club and forcing a way out. But I agree with those who think Rooney will end up at Chelsea....
