In my mind we need a DM far worse and a CB. We have a ton of very talented attacking players and whilst I wouldn't turn Rooney or Higuain away, if it doesn't happen it isn't wrist-slashing time for me.

If we don't sign a backup or an upgrade for Arteta-Ramsey, and another backup CB, we are in much deeper ****.

You may be right.

Giroud is decent and I think Podolski has alot more to show.

I have to say there seemingly alot more quality midfielders available. I would love to see us go back in and try to sign Lars Bender.
 
Rumours that Squillaci has joined Bastia.
I honestly thought that when we bought him that he would turn out to be a good player.He was after all a French international playing for a decent Spanish team and had CL experience.What a ****ing disappointment he turned out to be

However the Rooney pans out I reckon it's been resolved for a while.
I'm a big believer that so much goes on behind the scenes and in private that by the time rumours surface things are pretty much settled.
For example there's too much Higuain talk for it not to have been true, sustained media talk for weeks, but it's widely known now that Madrid having agreed a sale price pulled out of that deal and upped their valuation of the player, so I guess it now comes down to the player/agent speaking with the club and forcing a way out.
But I agree with those who think Rooney will end up at Chelsea....

If we sell we will aim to send him abroad, even if its cut price.

If Chelsea want him I reckon we'll be looking at Torres money and then some. Infact we'd I reckon the club would rather give him to Arsenal on a free.

He'll flop at Chelsea anyway as they have players who are more important that Wayne will be and we all know why hes being a ****ing baby.

The hatred of Rooney has started already and he hasn't left Stretford yet.You'll next be telling us he's a useless player and you never rated him and soon you'll be singing a song about him being a rapist like you used to RVP before he joined you

No hate, just a bit fed up of him. He is moaning for no reason.

I have no doubt his agent is behind this but theres only so far you can back a player before it becomes tiresome.

I suspect you felt similar regarding Cesc before he went to Barcelona.

Edit - He'll flop because Chelsea's terrible history with strikers suggests so.

No suprise at all. He's been lauded as the biggest thing ever in England and it's given him an ego the size of a hot air balloon. Maybe it's time for him to leave Man U as they seem to be moving forward without him.

Tbf he could of been one of the best ever England players but as you said, his ego ( and agent ) took over.

His agents called Stretford isnt he? I always think thats who Cyms referring to <laugh>
