I think it was a very safe bet, bearing in mind that Liverpool will 100% say No, and Suarez wants to leave England. This bet looks like a smokescreen intended to speed up Higuain deal.
I'm betting the bid has something to do with the fact that Real apparently are interested in Suarez and seem to be dragging the Higuain deal out.
IMO, spending that amount of money on a player like Suarez would have been a massive risk anyway. The guy might be a great player, but he is also a ****ing liability with his various antics. Higuain is a safer bet, and hopefully we can get that deal wrapped by the end of this week.
Spot on mate. So we are struggling to sign Higuain for £22m but bid £30m for a player that wants to go to Real and from a club that doesn't want to sell? Talk about a ****e rumour, even worse than the Rooney one.
