Just says Wenger might go to PSG in the summer with Ancelotti going to Madrid. Mentions Joachim Low as a replacement which i heard somewhere else yesterday as well
Wenger has turned down soo many big offers in the past I dont see why this will be any different. PSG would be a pretty good club for him though.
I don't think he will go anywhere after Arsenal. His real benefit to a club is in long term benefits, although he did do well when he first came into Arsenal. I can't see him starting another project at this stage.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...an--targetted-by-Arsenal-for-summer-deal.html It's the sun, so probably bull ****. But, I have been impressed with Schneiderlin this season.
Superjack I think you are a team on the wain and the likes of Nasri and RVP have realised that Arsenal are unlikely to mount a serious challenge to the PL for a long while - or atleast until you manage to outgun the likes of the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea who seem to be able to spend money with reckless abandon. In many respects Schneiderlin would be an excellent signing for a team like Arsenal but he is more likely to shine at a team like Saints where he will be a bigger fish in a smaller pool. The comment about him not being of sufficient quality was clearly ridiculous as the statistics that have been banded about clearly support the contention that he is an essential ingredient in our squad even without amassing a huge goal tally. In the long term, he will attract some big suitors yet I can't see how a move would benefit to Arsenal would benefit any young player until you have re-juvenated the coaching staff. I don't think that Wenger is a poor manager by any means but he is no longer quite as radical and exciting as he was when he started with your lot. Granted that there are other "big" clubs that have more serious issues than yourselves (Liverpool , for example) but I can't see you competing with some of the bigger European clubs when Morgan's current contract is neary expiry. Cheers Ian
I didn't say he wasn't of sufficient quality. You read what you wanted to read and then went on a rant.
the fact that u implied nasri is a big player shows u dont really know what ur talking about. schneiderlin would be a decent signing. not top class, and i dont think he ever will be. and don;t even go on about statistics. they make terrible players look amazing at times. if i have time i;ll post a few examples
Same here, low key player that just does his job, and does it very well. Would be a typical old-fashioned Wenger signing, before he went weird.
He's our best player, he and Shaw are the only two members of our squad at the minute who could perform in the Champions league in the future/become world class. Schneiderlin's defensive capabilities are well documented in football circles at the minute but his passing is also sublime. He's like a more mobile Xabi Alonso (although admittedly not quite as good). He's only just signed a long term contract so he's not likely to leave us unless it was a ridiculous amount of money. We're talking 30m+, we're rich enough to turn down anything less for our best player if you ask me.
To be quite honest, I think signing Schneiderlin would end up a lot like the Allen situation at Liverpool. He fits the Saints style of play so much that taking him out of it would be a career threatening move.
