The Saudis will be able to spend quite big next summer again. The papers are always full of ****... first they over inflated everything and now they make out Newcastle are skint... the truth is in the middle. This Isak won't sign a contract is for the birds because it'll sharp change if Newcastle land in Europe.... The story might not even be true.
Thats not going to change - regardless of how much Simon Jordan moans about it. City will get ****ed this year in Court and we'll start to see FFP having an even bigger influence.
As good as Isak is, I cant see him ousting Mbappe or Vinicius from the starting XI. He'd be a squad player at best. Would earn more money than at the Barcodes though.
Most of what you're saying could be right - although in fairness, I've not seen anywhere concrete link Madrid with Isak. But for the bit in bold, what's your evidence for that? Because you finished 4th once for the first time in decades? Aston Villa did that last season lol. There's not enough evidence to suggest that Newcastle are 'going to kick on soon'. And even if you get a European spot (which isn't the CL), there's still no guarantee players like Isak remain at the club anyway.
Not enough evidence because you aren't aware of reality and only what you hear in the media. For a start early 2025 we will hear news of either a 1 billion rebuild of St James Park or a 2-3 billion new stadium.... does that sound like kicking on? Then you've got the media peddling the notion Newcastle can't spend, but what they doesn't realise is that 150 million drops off this winter and there was already 70 offered for a cb last summer. Newcastle couldn't get the right players, so they just didn't bother and there's actually been some work taking place signing youth from around the world. 4th 7th and we go again... so far we've defeated Tottenham, Arsenal and drawn with City... we've got no injury problems having brought in bunce and the next run of games is favourable to say the least. We're 1 point off 3rd. We will see, but don't be surprised..... everything I read on us is negative. I actually use it to annoy our fans , but the truth is in the middle. We might sell a player just like anyone else if they pay the amount wanted.
Err...right. I'll believe all this when I actually see it. When your owners took over, I was told it wouldn't be long before you started competing for (and winning) the league. It doesn't look likely that will be this season, and it remains to be seen whether Howe will get you back amongst the top-4 again or whether it was a one-off campaign. So, assuming you don't challenge for the league this season, that'll be 3.5/4 seasons without challenging since they've taken over. You still haven't won a major honour (yet) and your squad still needs refinement because it is still comprised of players who aren't at the calibre of where you aspire to be. If you do finish back in the top-4 this season with the players you have, and go far in the cups, then I'll start to take you more seriously as a consistent threat in this league. But for now, that isn't the case.
Well, he's definitely not winning anything with you. Remind me when your club last won a major honour?
Which club the one before TV money or the one owned by a state ? Just accept it Newcastle like I say are on a journey and take in the things I've told you. Either cough up or forget it.. he's got years left on his contract...Newcastle don't have to sell.
What difference does it make? You're meant to be a big club, aren't you? As I've already said - I'll believe all this when I see it. If everything you said comes to fruition, then I'll say fair play, you were right. But if you're wrong, then you're going to look a bit silly.
I never said we are a big club, .. what I will say is that right now we're challenging the top 6 and the plans are big. See what? We've already gone from 19th to champions league football a final, 3 quarter finals and have some top top players.... the 5 to 10 years is still at least 100% away in terms of the timeline set on winning anything.... it might never happen... look how long Arsenal have been trying... it's not easy. I'm not worried what I'll look like or what other people think I'm just telling people some truths because I can see the journalists are not on the ball.
What do you mean 'look at how long Arsenal have been trying'? Our last trophy was 4 years ago lol. Yours was 1955. You can mock us for not winning stuff all you like, but the reality is, you lot and us are not in the same stratosphere. Even Spurs have won stuff more recently than you and look at how much they get ridiculed. I'm not denying you're on an upward trajectory, but being a top-6 side and competing for the league frequently are two different things. Given your outlay and your owners, I'd be more surprised if those things you mentioned hadn't happened yet. You have big plans? Newflash, so does every other club. So, again I repeat, I'll believe it when I see it. Otherwise everything you've said is a whole bunch of hot air.
We've only been trying for 3 I never mocked you I'm pointing out that you ain't likely to win anything any time soon either. Newsflash not every clubs aim is to be number one. Judge in another 7 years not 3 years in to a 10 year plan... don't be foolish.... you see the trajectory .. that will continue.
It's a terrible question but fine. Because he wants to play in the EPL...because he's never going to start ahead of Mbappe... because Henry was his hero... because he already has a connection to Odegaard and Merino.. Now answer my question. What makes you think Madrid actually DO want to sign him?
