Not worth a thread of its own, but I note that Wild Thing is now the fourth longest-serving manager in the English leagues.

it's amazing what Bournemouth has achieved and fair play to them. Just goes to show even a very small club if run properly and get a decent manager can do good things. Sadly, on the contrary to what some think, we are a basket case and are not run very well. Just compare Eddie Howe to 'Hollow"? <doh>
What they also did well at was getting moneyed people onto the Board who spend it well on the Club

The squad we have 'should' be strong enough to saty in the championship. Now end of last season we barely made it, I'm still convinced that it was because olly messed around with the team too early thinking we were safe. (I'm being naive aren't I ??)
I definately think we need a couple of 'expierenced defenders' and a capable striker who can hit at least 15 goals a season...but that will cost money and it seems that's something we are not prepared to do.

So if we're not prepared to do then they'll only be one outcome imo

What will we be blaming once ffp is out of the way
If ffp is causing problems right now then they should just come out and say so
They might be given some slack

Well, we have an arbitration coming up against the Football League. There are many £ millions at stake. The League say we've been profligate over transfers. We deny it, and want to be seen in the best light at the forthcoming hearing. This could well be the reason for a conservative approach to transfers now. This legal action is holding us by the sphericals at the moment. The sooner it's behind us, the sooner we can behave like a normal, ambitious (but hopefully prudent and business-like) club.

I imagine both Bournemouth and Leicester will be watching the outcome of this as both face similar punitive punishments if relegated dating back to their promotion seasons. It is farcical that Premier League clubs can spend themselves into oblivion if they wish yet the EFL runs what is, in essence, a system that denies clubs opportunity which would be against EU Law, it's high time it was scuppered...
