What do you reckon our chances of getting Joe Lumley back at Bristol Rovers on loan for next season are
 
Sure there's nothing in the Shay Given thing but maybe it's not that barmy an idea. Assuming Smithies does go, if that happens Ingram rightly assumes the no.1 spot but then what of Lumley? for his development another season on loan has to be better than sitting on our bench. In that scenario having someone like Given in on the cheap as back up might be a good option, he'd be unlikely to complain about being second choice and would be decent enough if needed. Oddly Smithies staying could be the worst thing to happen, unless he really is committed long term.

Would Given be happy to sit on the bench at a mediocre championship club?
 
Are we really so skint, that even rumours cant connect us to even medicore championship players

My guess would be that we'll sell Alex Smithies and it'll be between Ingram, a young keeper we signed from Wycomble, and Lumley to take the number one spot. Knowing Holloway we will loan Lumley to you again and Ingram will break both legs the following at.

I'd like to loan out Lumley again with an emergency recall if that option still exists. Glad he did well for you as our youth team is hardly prolific at creating first team players.
