Looks more like retirement. He picks up a £2m bonus for keeping them up, but has to pay it back if he manages again within the next two years. He would have tripled his wage with Palace if he stayed. Perhaps his doctor has told him to quit, he looks deeply unhealthy.

You may well be right. I think I've since heard that he's not looking for another job.

Apparently a close family friend of his was killed in the Manchester bomb attack and that influenced his decision...

Young midfielder arrives from Tottenham Hotspur ...

YOUNG midfielder Charlie Owens has signed a one-year deal with QPR.

The 19-year-old arrives at Loftus Road following his release from Tottenham Hotspur, where he spent three years.

Owens impressed during a trial towards the end of the 2016/17 campaign, featuring five times for Paul Hall’s Under-23s, and has been rewarded with a contract until the summer of 2018.
