Good luck in finding a 20 goal a season scorer in any of the divisions that we trade in, read somewhere that there was only 7 players across the 3 FL divisions to score 20+ goals this season.

We basically need 2 strikers to score 10 - 15 goals a season and then the midfield to chip in with 5 - 10 goals each, that would give us a decent balance.

What we have to accept is the fact we are now definitely a bargain basement shopper, we have Sparkless and "Arry to thank for f******g up our trip upmarket by buying overpriced dross that nobody else wanted, knackering our credit rating in the process thus now leaving us only able to afford Lidl and Aldi quality rather than Sainsbury's or Morrisons and with no chance of anything from Harrods ever again, But as we know sometimes even Happy Shopper turns up a decent bargain so let's wait and see who we get before passing judgement and blaming Ollie.

QPR are thought to be interested in signing soon-to-be free agent Stefan Maierhofer from SV Mattersburg.
The 6ft 7in target-man is out of contract at the end of the season, and is thought to be keen on a return to the English Football League. The Austrian international, who has picked up 18 caps for his country since 2008, is known to manager Ian Holloway as he was part of his Millwall squad who were relegated in the 2013-14 season.
A real physical presence, Maierhoffer could be the kind of attacking force that QPR will be searching for this summer as they strive to improve their record in front of goal in the new campaign.

6'7...I wonder what style of football we might play if we got this player in. <doh>

Well Matt Smith is 6'6" and turning 28 in a few weeks.

Hopefully not another Petter Vaagan Moen experience, who came over with big expectations, compared to these twin towers, a short arse at only 5'10"

Good move for him. Hope he proves himself. Maybe we can loan Gladwin there for the next few years too.

Possibly, I think League One might be his level. He looks to me like a Hoddle-Lite type of player. He looks comfortable on the ball and can stroke it around a bit, but is a bit slow in his decision making. A bit more urgency and sharpness and I think there's a player in him. Perhaps he needs a decent coach to get it out of him and when you've got someone with Bircham's calibre trying to coach anyone ... it's not going to happen.

Agreed good move for him....he hasn't got a fast enough brain for the Championship... He also had no invention in him. He was not good enough to play DCM either..

We need players better than him....and he is definitely below Ryan, Luongo, and probably Cousins in our pecking order....and dare I also say Perch ( runs for cover)...who adds more defensively than Doughty could

Josh Bowler being fought over

I know we are a selling club now...but not that sort of selling club please.
We develop our own players ....and then sell them...

And what good would it do him...

I believe we've rejected the bid Beth according to Dave Mac. Shame it needs other teams to bid for our youngsters to make us realise they might actually be half decent!

Not seen much of Bowler, if at all, but let's give him a run in pre season and see what he can do.

Sam Allardyce has quit Palace. Probably done it while his stock is fairly high and hoping to get a bigger job. I'd take him over Holloway but doubt that he'd come here.
