I would like to know his thoughts and has already been noted that sometimes the green grass over the hill might turn out to be infested with problems. Whatever the outcome is I wish him well in his future but I wish it was long term at Ashton Gate. We are in desperate need of a local hero.

Forgive my innocence but what will happen if Flint, Reid and Bryan should leave? I have difficulty believing that Lee has enough nous to replace them with adequate ease. Time alone will tell the full story and the kickoff migh tell another. Good luck Lee.

... then they will pay and pay - Flints only just signed a new contract.
Can’t think they’d come in for Flint tbh , but if they did I’m sure we wouldn’t get in the way of him going for many reasons , wouldn’t be surprised if it’s written into his contract anyway.

I would be very surprised if Reid and Bryan don’t leave, and from all accounts it seems several teams are eyeing up flint , Mags appears to have agreed a deal also , whilst not a first team regular when all are fit he’s tha go to guy when one of the regular first teamers aren’t and he’s still young , we forget how young he is at times .
It’s a good question you pose Mike and one I’ve been pondering myself for a while.

Inver, you ask who could replace Flint.
Our head coach had his first try last year with Bailey Wright to replace Flint.
The Sweet Shop Kid hasn't a clue, but hey it doesn't matter, he's here for life.

He also bought in Nathan Baker around the same time , I think we all think on the whole that was good business , for me the jury is still out on Bailey Wright, I think he made a pretty good fist of playing most of last season out of position or carrying an injury , and at times both.

That said I question whether we will be able to replace successfully Bryan , Flint and Reid , that’s some task.

Bearing in mind even with all those players our form towards the end of the season was relegation form, it doesn’t bode too well for next season unless they really can pull some rabbits out of the hatch with quality incomings which are able to hit the ground running.

Baker played for City before LJ.
Spin it all you (and Ashton) want but Bailey Wright was signed specifically to replace Flint, why else would LJ give him the 5 shirt and club captaincy.

He played before Lee was head coach but only on loan , also I wasn’t aware flint was captain , so don’t the relevance of being made captain either , you have an agenda as far as LJ is concerned that colours your view.

Personally think we are fooked unless the genie has something up his sleeve:emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat
There will be a lot worse off than you. Looking at the sales you'll make you'll have financial stability and some to spend.
Others will have to sell hard just to balance the books and stave off FFP.
